thanks guys!!

In short, It was AWESOME!!

Jessica M was wonderful and she was able to provide all the things I asked for.

I was still undecided on the reception location and she showed me my options.

I orginally requested Barcelona, but according to karijean and seen it myself, it was really plain.

So we visited Foyer and Las Olas: Foyer had a great view of the ocean and there is always breeze.

Las Olas was the one we settled since Foyer wasn't available for the night.

It's acutally better than what I expected! It was windy but also hot that day so it worked out perfectly.

oh and I got married on the pier and I love it !!

More pix to come ! :)

Happy wedding day @@JessT! Can't wait to hear about it!

Yay @@JessT so exciting!  Another ERC Brides wedding day!  Congrats!  I cannot wait to hear reviews.

Congrats @@JessT!  Looking forward to seeing pictures :)  I just signed my room block and now waiting on the wedding contract.  Save the dates have already been ordered!  Is the Lobster House still an option for the reception or has it been replaced with Las Olas?

I can't wait to see pictures!! Glad to hear it was awesome! And I'm glad you went with Las Olas

Sabes, yes the Lobster House is an option for reception only if it is closed the night of your wedding. They close a different restaurant each week so it just depends. I think Jessica only knows the week before.

Congrats @@JessT! I'm really excited to see your pics!!! We are also planning the ceremony on the pier. Charles' father has Parkinsons' Disease :( and his health, energy levels, fluctuate a lot. So we thought the pier would probably be our best bet since he will more than likely be in a wheel chair and pushing it on the sand will draw extra attention. We are trying to make things as "normal" as possible for him. So @@JessT please include as many pics of the pier as possible. I've noticed that most brides chose the beach.

@@Sabes44 When I booked I was told the Lobster House is available on Fridays.  I am getting married on Friday and have had my hopes on Lobster House.  They require a minimum of 35 people to reserve the Lobster House.  I have 28 and Jessica is making an exception!  I still haven't been able to confirm it yet.  She tells me that she can officially confirm the Lobster House 1 month in advance.

@@hapykat From what I have seen of the pier it is so pretty.  I do believe you have to walk across the beach to get to the pier though.  I may be wrong.

@@HNeal thanks for that info!  I am getting married on a Friday too, we are still 10 months out so not sure on the guest count yet.  But at this point we are anticipating at least 30.

@@HNeal. You do have to walk a little across the beach to the pier. However,I walked on a path which lead to pier has less sand. Maybe the hotel staff "shuffled" it (if that makes sense).

you can't really see it but you can feel it's much easier to walk on ! Hope this helps!

Lobster House has been my first choice since I first started researching the venue.  I guess I will just have to wait and see what we can get since we are so far out.

It must depend on when your getting married if the Lobster House was available on a Thursday as well.  The Lobster House has really been my first choice too throughout this past year of planning.  At this point it is the last detail I am waiting on!

That is nice that they shuffle the pathway to the pier.  I am getting married on the beach and I have a guest in a wheelchair as well.  I just thought that either way, no matter which location I chose, it may take a little maneuvering to get her out there.  Hopefully it all works out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
