Excellence Riviera Cancun Brides?

Let me know how you ladies make out with the credit.

This has probably been talked about already but what are your details? I'm 8/22 5pm ceremony on the beach. I'm thinking either Las Olas or the Pier for cocktail. Not sure about reception. I'm know it's going to be soooo hot so I'm leaning toward Barcelona. But I love the Lobster House.

I went back and read recent posts and saw all of your details for the day for those brides with wedding coming up soon. No need to repeat it.

I know for sure I'm bringing these

They are awesome! They just sit on a wine glass with a battery operated light inside.

Other than that I want to bring other table decorations but I'm afraid anything glass will break

What reception table items are you ladies bringing? Do you plan on renting anything from the resort or bringing your own stuff?

I plan on bringing what I can. So far I'm using the white linens from the resort and I'm bringing a burlap and lace table runner and burlap chair ties. I also plan to bring pilar candles for the table and possibly some papel picado in hopes that they will hang it. I do plan to rent three vases for the bouquets. I also saw that some brides had maracas as favors which looked great on the table...so possibly some of those as well!

Well bad news, Jessica said we can't credit the money towards something else if we don't use Beach Wedding Studios. She said we could use them in the cocktail hour or reception. Or you could probably keep them for the ceremony to get some extra shots. Since you two are using outside vendors for photography too, what do you think you will do?

I am bringing maracas too! I think they will be fun. I bought small votives and candles to use on the tables. I'm still debating on a table runner because I don't know if we are doing 1 long table or 5 round tables for 32 people. I am also renting vases for our flowers.

I'm not really sure what I will do since I have booked my photographer for the entire time. Maybe I will use them to stay behind if there is a time that I go off with my wedding party to get shots. Not sure if I will do that though b/c I don't want to miss a minute of it! Otherwise I guess it will just be extra photos. I hope they don't get in each others way!

I think candles will be a really nice touch! I have approx 30 so far. Possibly a few more. I haven't talked to Jessica about it yet but I'm hoping to have one long table.

Not sure if you ladies are still looking for wedding jewelry but I'm having mine designed by Red-i by Chelsea. She designs hand made pieces. Absolutely gorgeous! I'm having a cuff made for myself and turquoise necklaces made for my bridesmaids. And to make things even better... she was an ERC bride like the rest of us! Just figured I'd share that.

What are you ladies doing about a DJ vs having your own music? I haven't decided yet.

Do you have pictures of the jewelry she is making? Sounds beautiful. I will check her website out.

We are hiring DJ Mannia. He's expensive but I think it will be a big weight off my fiance and I's shoulders to know that no one has to go up and mess with the music. I just want to party and dance!

We would prefer to have 1 long table too but I'm not sure if it would be toooo long :)

@@TealMarie Did you use Beach Wedding Studios services during your wedding? Or did you opt to not use them at all?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
