TealMarie,

It took a really long time for the spa to get back to me.  If I remember correctly, it was almost a month because I forgot I emailed them!  They did eventually give me times and pricing for everyone.  They gave me pricing for myself too but I reminded them it was included in my package and they adjusted it.  It probably wouldn't hurt to ask Gloria.  She will probably refer you to the spa anyway, like she did me, but atleast she'll know.  Also, FYI, I'm getting married in July and I just asked her for an estimate of my charges and she sent me an invoice for what my bill will be.  It breaks down all of your choices and she had everything spot on so I'm feeling much better about everything.  I was worried their would be pop up charges I wasn't thinking of.  I would suggest you doing the same when your date gets closer!

I'd also love to hear about how long the walk is and what songs brides have chosen to walk down the aisle to.  I'm trying to decide on the wedding march or something else.  My bridesmaids are walking to The Forrest Gump theme song.  I know it sounds weird but it's really great and everyone always recognizes it but can't place what song it is.  :)

Okay, good to hear it's not just me. They responded to me in maybe 4-7 days but it just seemed like they weren't reading my emails. At least I'm doing this well ahead of time so if it ends up taking 2 months to book it, oh well. And yes they showed me the charge for my own hair/MU. Thanks for reminding me that I don't have to pay for that! How many people in your party are getting hair/MU and how many hours before your ceremony are you guys starting to get ready?

That is so smart to ask for an invoice.

( And maybe sneak a bottle or two of Corona into the bags!) I know it;s cheating, but I really don't want to drag all that to Mexico along with chair sashes etc!

I would love to know the answer to how long the walk is also!

That's not cheating, that's a great idea.

I also had to remind them to not charge me! They got back to me within a week.

My ceremony is at 3pm so I made my appointment for 10am. They scheduled 2 people at a time so I believe the last person who will be getting their hair done is at 12:30.  That should give us time for pictures and just relax before the ceremony.

Do any of you ladies know how the alcohol works for the reception? I'm having my reception in Barcelona and I was wondering if they have a bar set up or how that works.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
