What kind of ring did you buy him?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the info Kat, I never thought about if the ring might have to be cut off, and FI is super active playing sports!!

You can't cut tungsten, and it close to impossible to cut titanium, so if your hubby works with hands or play some sports where his finger can get caught, I would not recommend either. I feel white gold is more safe due to that issue. If anything it can easily be cut off his finger. Tungsten will shutter if you need to free his finger, but you wont be able to put it back together. Also both of those metals can't be resized. So if he will gain some weight down the road he might have to get a new ring if you go with tungsten or titanium. I hope it helps

While it's true you can't cut tungsten, you are able to get it off in an emergency with vice grips. It would shatter under the pressure and free your finger. You just wouldn't be able to solder it back together like you could with a white gold ring.

FI is getting white gold. He liked that he would be able to get it sized later on if he needed to. I would have loved to get something cheaper, but I guess I can't complain given how much we spent on my rings!

    • I know it is really tough job to get everything at best cost. I would like to suggest to contact local wedding planner or decorators to get the quotes. It will take some time but by comparing different quotes you will get the best package.
    • If you want to enjoy your wedding then go for a dance floor. It is a precious moment of your life and you should enjoy it.
    • As you have said it is going to be a beach wedding so I would recommend a combination of Calla Lily and Daffodil. You can also use Calla lily or Daffodil individually. Both the flowers have different colors so it will easily attract anyone.

    • I’m a wedding planner/organizer by profession. Truth be told, I don’t have that much experience in the industry but I’m doing the best I can. We will be working on a wedding next month with a foreign couple. I’m usually the one who handles everything on behalf of the bride during the day so I need some tips and advice on how to handle brides from foreign countries. Do they need special accommodations? What are the kinds of services they are used to when under pressure? What kind of snacks should I offer them during breaks or when they’re hungry? Thanks so much in advance.
