MJKH - Wedding week survival bags are done!!! Lots of pics : )

Recommended Posts

Ok, now the baskets are done! Ran out of room in the ladies' basket so put the personal care items in a small cosmetic bag. I found the acrylic photo holders at Michaels ($1.50) and the punched cards came in a box of 50 (all fruit-punch colours with envelopes) from Winners ($6.99). Because they're single layer cardstock, they should work perfectly for a little sign beside each basket.

Oh thanks, I try.  I've often been tempted to start a new thread on BDW called "What could I do/make with this?"...because so many brides have so many amazing ideas that I would have never thought of!  Like I have this long...maybe 8 feet...of alternating crystals/metal loops lying around...and continue to wonder "What could I do with this?".

"Resort Dining"

"Local Area Information"

The passport covers are from Michaels (purchased this last summer)...the cardstock paper covers are Vistaprint oversized postcards with a saturated pink (reverse) side.  About 1 inch was trimmed off the left side of the card to fit the cover...then the corners were clipped.  I'm not going to lie...as helpful as some of the examples were that I found here on BDW, the formatting of the booklet was a nightmare.  But neither my FI nor I are stellar when it comes to the world of computers.  I attempted to put some clip art in here and there, but eventually gave up : (

If I remember correctly, they were $1.50 each here at Michaels in Canada last spring/summer.  I wouldn't be surprised if they show up in the dollar bins again there soon.  I would ask every time you go in there as stuff if sometimes hard to find and not where you would expect it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
