I stayed at a Dreams Resort in Cabo.  Real nice place!  Wow - your wedding is less than a year away - woot2.gif

We are planning for Easter Break 2013.  Just confirming with my FI's son's school that the actual break will be that week after Easter.  So if all goes according to plan, our date will be April 3rd, 2013.  It's a Wednesday.  We want to have a civil (legal) ceremony so we will have to be there 3 business days prior to the day we wed.  So we'd head down there Thursday March 29th.

I hope to have confirmation by next month.  I hate waiting....I've been engaged since Christmas so I am getting anxious to plan!!!  So in the meantime I am geting my Save the Dates ready and starting to build my wedding website, figure out a logo, etc.  This site ROCKS!  rockon.gif

And I am way into these icons today

woot.gifGreat now you got  me into the icons!  Yes this website is awesome, I got engaged in January and have to plan for next January because of school thatswck.gif But at least I will have finals in December and have a month to get the last minute details with no stress!!!  We opted for the symbolic since our tax guy will tell us if it benefits us to do legal December or January, real romantic but I'm getting my lay off notice this June and anything extra in benefits will help, so maybe I'll change it to legal if it pans out that way. I sent in my credit card info today and according to them it is available! I've been to Secrets (which is owned by the same company) and I loved it! Same restaurants and all I have children attending so we choice the dreams.  Then we head off to Secrets Maroma for a couple days for our honeymoon hotel!  Well I've seen you around in post..I'm sure we'll talk more..don't know why I"m on a New Jersey newbie thread...since i"m across the coutry, but I'll see you on the other threads!smile105.gif

Yes...I"m finally getting married!!!! I waited 5 1/2 years for a proposal!

Currently, I'm in the Early Care and Education field, training family child care providers to provide quality care to children!  But today I got notice that I have an interview for a Director Position for an initiative that promotes pre-k readiness!! So maybe my fate will change.  I'm also working on my masters to become a holistic psychotherapist, which is my true passion! smile123.gif Yes I'm in beautiful sunny California!  How about you, since were sharing stories woot2.gif

5 1/2 years???  I got ya beat, Sister!  6 1/2 here!  LOL!  Gosh guys are slow!

Great news on the on the interview!  Good Luck!  I am a firm believer of everything happening for a reason so maybe this is why!!!!  Power of positive thinking....it works!

Sunny CA?  Lucky lucky lucky!  I am in (now chilly) Upstate New York.  I live in Clifton Park which is like 20 minutes north of the capital, Albany & 20 minutes south of Saratoga Springs where the big horse racetrack is and they host the Travers Horse Race every August.  Great area - 3 hours from NYC - 3 hours from Montreal, Canada...pretty central....

  • 4 weeks later...

To update this post:

I'm off maternity leave hissyfit.gif . I gave birth to a 7lb 3oz baby girl name Isabelle Jonae...So while on maternity leave I got some things done that I will be posting on the site soon. I have managed to get my invitations to the Bridal party, and "Save the dates" done, along with brochures and magnets printed at vistaprint. I figure I will send them out the day after the engagement party to get an idea what to expect in number of people "pre RSVP" and to give people the time to review the information and make a decision by June 1st. I'm having an engagement party on March 31st of this month and I'm very excited. We have also booked the resort, while working with our travel agent Wendy Hicks.

Since I will be on maternity leave in 6 weeks, I'm hoping to get a lot of things out the way.I did look at a couple of forums about RPRM, but I have not seen any recent brides getting married there. We have a date of May 11, 2013 but that can change to June 11, 2013..

Anyway I wanted to know if there is there anyone else out there who has considered this resort, any information they have found, and any other information out there about the resort from current and past brides... I have been on thier website and looked at the packages they offer but more information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

and

Congratulations to all the new and past brides!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
