And funny b/c  my bff for 25+ years is pregnant as well and due 3 weeks before me and she is having a boy and her top pick is Dillon and my top pick for a boy is Vincenzo, so your name is a combo of the two!

OMG I would be going nuts!!!!! I hate suspence. But the scan went well? Baby looks good? I still love the name Vincenzo. I still look at everything, but I'm stuck on Dilan. Love it! I don't like the real Italian sounding names (cuz i am not Italian) and that's why I don't want Vincent for the first name.  I don't want is a super popular name. Dilan is Irish too. Really isn't too popular right now. I read it's ranked 2,000 something. I hope it's not making a super boom comeback if she is thinking about it too.

Kellan and Brayden are the 2 we could agree on, and my husband didn't really love Kellan.  i didn't know when i fell in love with the name that it was becoming popular because of twilight.  damn it!  but we ended up with Sean Brayden ...

actually i regret not putting my maiden name in there for a middle name.  it was my dad's only chance to have his name passed down at all (i don't really like his first or middle name, Donald Richard) but my maiden name would have been a decent middle name.  oops.

Yup, scan went well, baby is super active like his papa.  We are going to have our hands full if we have a mini-Matt.

I don't think Dilan, or any of the other spellings, is overly popular at all.  I have one friend whose son is about 8 and his name is Dylan.  My cousin had a baby last year named Dylan Patrick (which is funny b/c it's what my bff is thinking of using too!)  And then my other prego friend who is thinking about Dillon.  But other then those 3, I don't know any.  Plus popularities tend to be regional too, so if you haven't heard it much where you are, you are probably good.

So I pulled out my baby name books again b/c this not having a boy name is driving me bananas.  And I read 1.5 of them from cover to cover and don't have any new names to add.  What is up with boy names, seriously?!

I'm keeping a google doc list of names that I like, even if it's just a tiny bit to give an idea of style.  Hav eyou used Nymbler yet?  You can enter in names you like and it will give you idea and you can mark them as good or bad and keep going.  I have tons of fun in there.

Right now, in no particular order, here are the boy names at the top of my list (and the only ones on Matt's list will have a *)

Elias / Eli *

Dominic *

Theodore / Teodoro / Theo - I LOVE Theo but Matt can't get past the Huxtables.  Weirdo.

Xavier - Matt says it's weird.  How it can be weird and be in the top 20, I have no idea.

Vincenzo / Enzo / Cenzo - Matt doesn't like it

Santino / Santi - I haven't even mentioned it to him yet

Damian - I don't love the double D initials (same problem with Dominic)

Cruz

Milo

Tadeo / Teo

Omg, omg, omg, Matt actually liked a name!  By no means will I stop there, but it's good to have something on the list!  He vetoed most of them, but I told him I'm going to keep coming back to the ones like Theo that I just love so much.  He liked Santino / Santi.  I'm glad b/c it's one of my faves from the list too, but it's probably not within my top 3.  I'm happy to keep it on the list though and maybe it will become one of my top three?  Oh and now he changed his mind and doesn't like Elias / Eli at all.  Pain in the ass I tell ya!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
