My Passport to South Africa Wedding Invites

Recommended Posts

Good Morning!

Lots of love, lots of time.. but all worth it. My Wedding Invitations are finally done and sent out.

I used the Alyee Bits template - I'm not the most design savvy person so it took some time but walking away from it, focusing on something else and then coming back to it definitely helped out. I got them printed at my local Staples and ordered the envelopes from Papersandmore. I got the return labels for FREE at Vistaprint and the Magnet STD's for 50% off on Vistaprint as well. They're done... PHEW!!

Enjoy!!

Anyone have any ideas on how to incorporate luggage tags as favors?

I love the way the came out! They look awesome!!!

My biggest hangup is what cardstock and paper to use. And if my printer will print on special paper. Where did you get these from? I have spent so long searching....and ordering these are way to expensive! Any advice or feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

For the insides I used premium paper from Staples (about $8.00 for a pack). At Staples if you buy the paper it's cheaper to print as opposed to them using their own paper even thought it's the same (weird). The silver cardstock was in stock at the Staples Print Center - I originally bought silver cardstock from Micheals but when I did a test print it didn't come out too well so then I discovered that they had the silver I wanted and I went from there.

WOW bizimana, your invitations are GORGEOUS!! I LOVE that they have the image of Table Mountain in the background! I was in SA in 2004 and I'm returning for the holidays this year. What a fabulous destination you chose. WOW, your guests will be blown away!!

As far as luggage tags, this isn't necessarily a "favor" but I used luggage tag-shaped cut outs for the placecards on our reception table. I tied raffia around through them and then hand wrote each guest's name on them. It was a really cute way to incorporate the destination wedding theme and still looked chic! Here are a few pics below:

Congratulations again!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
