Calling all 2012 Brides @ Azul Beach Hotel in Puerto Morelos!

Recommended Posts

Mae- she actually called me. I was surprised a KHR came up on my caller id.I actually have to call her in regards to the ballroom and a few other things tomorrow. I'd give you the #, PM me and I'll send you the info. I know she said she had many weddings to get in touch with. You have about 7 months but it goes by so fast. I can't believe we are less than 4 months away. Are you doing any OOt bags? I just started ordering some stuff and will put them together when I arrive in MX. I go for my next dress fitting next month and have been going to the gym. Cardio kickboxing I will feel it tomorrow. :(

Trying to decide flowers and centerpieces for the wedding. I originally thought if we were outside I'd do short but now I can do tall. Still trying to decide I'm hoping it all comes to me sooner rather than later. I'm a planner!

Excited to read the reviews from two brides to see how everything went :)

Oh my goodness Maritza! that is alot of people!!! you are going to have such an amazing time! You should feel so loved that all those people are going to share your day with you :) I was planning on just doing the dinner reservations at Blue International but our numbers keep increasing which is wonderful but hoping I can keep it close to the 25!

I'm having a beach ceremony and I am totally prepared for the wind.  My fiances sister got married in Riviera Maya in April 2010 and it was windy but it didnt bother any of us and the pics of the ceremony were gorgeous with the ocean in the background.  For the brides that are now back, any comments on the water? From some trip advisor pics it looks beautiful and others not so much.

Hey gals,

I am using Maria Fay as my WC and she is amazing.  Originally, I was calling ABH to find out more information and I always seemed to get her on the phone.  When I booked the wedding, I specifically requested her and they linked me up with her.  She is super organized, sweet and cheery!

I'm realizing how little room there is for any price negotiation, which is disappointing.  20+ rooms booked with two private events, you think there would be a little wiggle room.  I guess this is the wedding biz!

Is everyone staying in the Honeymoon Suite?

Hey Ladies,

We are putting together our webinar schedule for BDW.  These webinars are great because not only can you get YOUR questions answered but also hear answers to questions from other brides that you may not have even though of :)

Webinars are a great way to not only hear directly from the wedding department but see the wedding packages that they offer, ceremony/reception pics, etc.

I try to only limit the webinars to once every 2 weeks so we of course can not do all resorts.

Please vote on which resorts you would like to have webinars on...you can choose more than 1.

Hi Krissy! You have a big group too. We have about 28 rooms booked at AB 25 booked through Lomas and I have family in Mexico so the others booked directly with the hotel. Same thing we are doing two private events and no wiggle room. We have the honeymoon suite booked for the week that we are there 4/4-4/11. My guest count has gotten very large that we are having our wedding reception in the ballroom that they just finished. I have Elizabeth as my wc and she's been great. Very excited it'll be here before we know it. Going tonight to pick up our wedding bands they're ready! How's everyone doing with their planning?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
