our website says this:

what should i wear to the wedding?

nothing. it's a nudist colony, so feel free to wear your birthday suit. not comfortable attending a naked wedding? ladies, try a skirt or a sundress. gentlemen, feel free to wear khakis, shorts...no footwear necessary for the ceremony, but you may be more comfortable wearing dancing shoes during the reception.

and on our STD pamphlet, we said beach wear: khakis for men, sundresses or skirts for the ladies.

however, we don't care if people show up barefoot or in shorts, but i'm willing to bet that no one will show up in tees and jeans; everyone will wear pants and skirts.

That's too funny. I thought about putting something down like that too because the island property at the resort I'm getting married on is typically for cloth optional people only. But Paul voted against it, oh well... lol

I am also slightly nervous that people might show up in shorts, tank tops and a baseball cap (seriously - we love our friends but some of them haven't dressed up since college graduation).

Here is what we are going with:

Wedding Attire

Attire for the wedding and reception is informal “beach chicâ€. Tommy Bahama style for the gents (collared shirts, lightweight trousers in khaki or linen, etc.); and for the ladies - skirts, sun dresses, capri pants, nice top… No suits and no ties! Flips flops, sandals, bare feet are perfectly acceptable – itâ€s the tropics after all! Ladies: you may wish to bring a shawl or light sweater for warmth after the sun goes down.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
