The reason I am asking is the I am getting married next year and will be staying at Paradisus for my Honeymoon, but my family and friends will be staying next door to the Melia. I would like to go over and see my kids and family, but not sure if I would be able to.

Can anyone share some insight! feedback.gif

~Thanks~

We did not stay at the Paradisus but did notice that they had walkways to and from the Melia to the Paradisus, I think Paradisus guests can access the Melia but Melia Guests can not access the Paradisus.

Yay November Brides! :) @Mrs.Shoreytobe I was back and forth but finally decided to have the symbolic ceremony at the Melia beach gazebo and then doing the reception at the jellyfish...but it's gonna cost me more to do it that way not sure exactly how much since I don't have a final count of guests yet. I decided to do this option since I did not want to actually get married on the beach which is the only option at jellyfish and when looking into the Melia I couldn't decide on which reception area I liked. I actually found jellyfish on one of these blogs and when I saw it fell in love...but in the end I chose both.
I'm planning early , but I have my October 31, 2014 wedding booked at Jellyfish. I'm leaning towards the Melia as well. It's seems mot are confused about where to have the ceremony. Although Melia gives u a general idea of why it will cost , does anyone know what it will cost over at Jellyfish. Still dealing with Mayte' s vague answers

I am getting married at the Melia on November 16, 2013 but just doing the symbolic ceremony there and the reception at the Jellyfish Restaurant. I am having difficulty w the photographer situation. Apparently melia has a contract w Arrecife studio but I found a better deal w an outside company...yet Melia would charge me $1000 to use someone other than Arrecife!!! That is just ridiculous....anyone having any issues w the same thing or any other suggestions :/...??
Hi! I noticed your post, I am also going to be there on the 16th and I'm bringing down to amazing photographers. Since they are staying on melia property you wouldn't have to pay the fee. Not sure if you found anyone or not. Just thought I could help:)

Hi Ladies,

Getting married at Melia on April 11, 2014....anyone else getting married at that time?

Few questions for past brides:

- How's the weather is like in April in DR??

- Is anyone familiar with the Tropical Hall. My reception will be held there and would like to know how its like.

- I opted for the Tropical Fairy Package and i know the decor is preset, does anyone know if you are able to request your colour theme, or if this is at all possible with out any fees??

Greatly appreciate your thoughts!!!

I am just curious what the costs are looking like for everything :) thanks so much ... Also has anyone had a private or semi-private reception. How did that wok? how much was it? and did you have a lot of people that could see your wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
