My encounter with the sheriff

This is too priceless not to share . . .

 

So I'm at Kinko's at like 4am today, and this middle aged L.A. county sheriff is in line in front of me paying for his copies. He turns to leave and his stack of papers falls out of his folder and all over the floor. I look down and there are several color copies of a fake CA license plate that says "I♥COCK". The sheriff and I look at each other and we both start cracking up. I didn't know why he had them but it sure was funny.

 

He says "Only in West Hollywood" and proceeds to tell me this story about how he came out of 7-11 and found one of these fake license plates taped to his sheriff truck. The whole time he is smiling and saying how they are impressive, someone put a lot of work into them, etc. I say "That was pretty ballsy of someone but at least you have a really good attitude about it". And he's like "Oh yeah, you have to have a sense of humor. Now if this happened to a rookie he would be seeing red right now. If it were LAPD somebody would be getting beat".

 

While I'm containing my laughter his cell rings and he recounts the story and can barely get it out because he is laughing so hard. Apparantly he was on his way to the station to put them on the cars of the other sheriffs, thus the stop at Kinko's I told him he had to be the coolest sheriff in town. After he left the Kinko's guys and I were cracking up and said nobody's going to believe us! It was pretty darn funny

that is really funny!!! only a sherriff in cali would go to kinkos and get reptrints of that!

fair question..lol I had just got off work and needed a metallic silver pen for a project I'm working on. I knew Kinko's had them. Since it was on my way home and they are open 24 hours I stopped in - and was treated to a show..haha

That is so funny and makes you realise that not all of them are jerks, some do have a personality. Thanks for sharing that. I wish you could get pics of the other's when they see their cars with these plates on them.
