ROR Jamaica 2012 Brides

It really does start to add up! If you want the dj and sound system that's $300 per hour. I'm bringing down the chair sashes but will get the chairs covers from the resort.

Did Keisha provide you with the current price list? Let me know and I can give you a copy if you don't have it.

For private dinners it is $55 per person

$500 set up fee

The lights around the pool side reception are an additional $490
>> the chair covers and ribbons are $11 per chair The system rental
>> without a dj is $150 per hour.

It's really adding up :(

Hey Blujaye – thanks for the info on the beach party! Sounds like a lot of fun!

You can email Janâ€s Flowers at jansflowers@hotmail.com. They really have been awesome! I decided not to do  centerpieces at the reception. Iâ€m not personally a huge flower person and I figure since I wonâ€t be able to even take my flowers home whatâ€s the point in spending a ton of money on them...what Iâ€ve decided to do is bring vases and put my bouquet and my bridesmaid bouquets in the vases during dinner. I havenâ€t quite figured out how I will arrange them yet but thatâ€s my plan for now.

Iâ€ve been told they are coming to set up the flowers in advance. I need to still actually confirm those details specifically though. I think they come 2 hours before the ceremony? Iâ€ll confirm and let you know.  Btw, check with Janâ€s Flowers on the chair covers/sashes. The resort charges $7 for the sahes and $4 for the ties. Janâ€s flowers charges $3 for both!

Hey ladies,

I'm planning at this resort for this October.  Did anyone use or is anyone planning to use the resort photographer?  I can't say I've seen any good reviews.  I don't really want a ton of photos and don't want to spend a lot of money, but I DO want some and I don't want them to be awful.  Not sure what to do.  Has anyone gotten any quotes from outside photographers for small packages?

Also, any advice on what time of day??

Thanks for the help!

Hi Ikterry and congratulations! I'm getting married as well in October (6th) at 3pm which I thought worked best. The sun won't be as hot and my guest will hopefully be a little more comfortable. We did some searching for photographers including the onsite photographer and offside as well as bringing one down with us. In the end we're bringing our photographer and that's because we really love his work and the comfort level is there. He'll be with us for 3 days which is great so we can do the TTD session. But by no means am I saying this is a better choice because the work of the other's we were considering was great. I did receive price list from 4 I believe; if you like I can email to you as I should still have them in my email. PM me your email if you'd like them! Also for the time of day, I'd say go with what works best for you. I liked the time of day because dinner would be served around 6:30 so my guest could go and have a drink or two or go and freshen up. I may have to take a few pics with the FI before the ceremony depending on how quickly the sun sets but I'm cool with that! Sorry about all this chatter but like me know if you'd like the price lists! Happy planning!

That's wonderful Krysta lee ann! All the best to you and wishing you and the hubby-to-be a beautiful wedding. So happy for you and can't wait to see the pics and review! Thanks for the tip with Sunwing, I honestly didn't know that there was such a program.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
