Krysta lee ann,

I just noticed you were from Kingston ON. Any advice for licensing in Canada? Iâ€m not sure if there is anything I have to do in Ontario before I leave!

there really is nothing to do before you leave Ontario. the only thing is getting the information needed for the hotel and everythign else is done when you get home if you are changing your name.

You can email Keisha at mice.ori@riu.com

I am personally not doing a private reception. Instead we are having a cocktail reception with a steel drum band, then a semi private dinner later.

I am not doing a private reception. i am planning on doing the ceremony, then pictures with everyone and then with the wedding party and alone. i figure while that is happening ppl can all go to the bar and hang out before dinner. i wanted to do the steel drum band but not for 500$. i think that price is redic!!! especially since my friend a couple years ago only paid $300!! after just chilling we will do a semi private reception and then drink some more and head to the disco!

Hey ladies,

My wedding is booked for June 1, 2012. We have decided to go with a private dinner reception. It is hard making decisions with no real pics or getting specifics on my questions. Does anyone know of how the terrace reception looks?

Also, some brides have brought their own decorations, do you think this is really necessary?  Any info will help.

Thanks.

Hey ladies,

I was hoping someone could help me with some questions regarding costs of reception at the ROR.  Do they charge per guest for dinner or is that included in some type of package?  Also, does anyone know how expensive it is to hold a private reception on the beach or anywhere in the resort for that matter?  Any help would be so appreciated!  I want to make sure we aren't spending money for unnecessary things =)  Thank you!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
