Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana Brides 2012-2013!

Recommended Posts

Have you already spoken with the wedding planner to lock in the locations of your ceremony, cocktail, reception? I am getting married there on April 12, 2013 and have been told basically that none of the planning truly is done until at least 3 months out.  Are these just the locations that you prefer and are hoping to lock in? Just curious.....

Hey! We have our wedding booked for 40 guest and counting so far, and yes they are extending the resort credits my TA called the wholesaler and they said "not officially yet" but it is in our contract and that's good enough for me :) we are going April 20-27 and our wedding will be on the 24th. So exciting!! I'm also super pumped about having our 75 room nights in as a group so YEAH for free unlimited private paties food and drinks included our comp 7 night stay and our free room upgrade! We are going to have our welcome dinner @ the Eden pool our ceremony on the isla beach and reception most likely in the ballroom. I freakin love this place! All my research and planning is starting to come together. <3

Anyone have issues with communicating with the head office? At the moment I am not happy with my Wedding Planner. I am supposed to get married Dec/5th,2012 and they have over charged me and I cant ever get a hold of my planner.

Far18,

Who is your wedding planner? There have been some staffing changes in the Miami office. I am also getting married Dec 2012, 12/15/12. I know Marlyn Tobon is in charge of the bookings, so if they've overcharged you, you may be able to get some answers from her. She's been pretty quick to respond to my emails. Email addresses have changed as well, hers is [email protected]

I had Maryln but I now have Dunyasi. I finally got a hold of her since they've moved offices. Do you know If our guests are booking packages from our travel agent are we still entitled to the unlimited events if we book certain number of nights? Dunyasi said the refund will take a month, which I find ridiculous.

Your travel agent should be working with the resort/Miami office in arranging the bookings. Your guests can book through a travel agent and you can receive complimentary nights/unlimited functions, so long as your travel agent is making the bookings under your group booking number.  I gave Marlyn Tobon my travel agent's name and they've been in communication as far as bookings go. Yes, I've heard as long as 2 months and as little as two weeks for refunds. I think it depends on the resort and coordinator.

However, now I am unsure if we are going to be able to use the HRH being that our wedding is not until February 2013 and their resort credits/promotions only run through December 2012. They have been unable to tell me when they will know if they are going to extend their promotions into 2013. I don't know what to do! I REALLY want the HRH, but sadly the $2,000 resort credit will make a difference on whether or not I am able to afford it.

I just had my wedding there a few weeks ago. We didnt use all of our resort credit. It was nice, but you also want time to relax. Our friends book excursions and then never showed up for them. They would rather lay by the pool or beach with everyone. I wouldn't make your decision based on that. The only one that was really worth going to was the Spa. Others are really only fun if you have never done those before. Our wedding was amazing and I would highly recommend having a wedding there. No matter how much Miami is a pain. The wedding cordinators at Hard Rock are awesome. Good Luck!

Hi! We are getting married at the Hard Rock in 16 days! Things are hectic but one thing I will say is that our wedding coordinator is Jacqueline and she is AMAZING! Rene from the Miami office contacted me on July 5th to go through the details. Really?! 22 days before my wedding you think any bride will be ok with planning their wedding just 22 days before? I have been in contact with Jacqueline since the beginning of December. She is wonderful! Will post details once we get back from the wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
