We go often, we also live in Oregon but I think in all we plan on about $3000.00 for the two of us on every vacation so with the little more that I would expect airfare to cost that seems very reasonable to me. You are taking a very expensive vacation to a far away paradise. Just think it would cost more to go to Hawaii!

Hi There,

We are from London, also looking for May 2013- we have spoken to iTravel (Sunwing) and also Air Canada- the Air Canada quote was RIDICULOUS. $2400/pp based on dbl occupancy!!  The itravel rep was...okay- I bet we spoke to the same woman, Sue?  I just connected with her last week, and she quoted $16xx.xxx so I think we'll shop around still....

I have also gotten a quote from Sue at iTravel!  For May 25, 2013 we were quoted 1603.00 which is the cheapest i have been quoted so far but i still feel like i can get it for cheaper.  Let me know if you come across anything cheaper, it would be a big help since we are looking at the same time frame.

i was quoted $1508pp + taxes of approx $109, totalling $16xx.xx and change...Sunwing offers every 6th passenger for free, to a max of 4 passengers (pre-tax).  They take the pre-tax amt x 4 and apply it to the group as a whole ($6032.xx) and we could disperse it however we wanted (pay for the two of us and spread out the rest etc)....a great promo, but we are still holding out for a bit more!  We are hoping for around $1300pp taxes in, so we'll see how we do!!  (could be dreaming LOL)

We are getting married on january 18th, 2012, leaving from Ottawa on the 14th and we paid 1375$ (taxes included) with AC. We booked in september with the early bonuses rates. We had also the promotion 6th room free and we saved about 100$/person.

I tought it was a pretty good deal for January.

the 6th person or 6 th room, I know the Now Jade is part of the AM Resorts, there currently have what they call a 3G promotion, this is every 6th room free based on double occupancy ( must have 6 double rooms booked) maximum of three rooms per booking and yes you can decide how you want to use the credit but it does not get awarded until final payment just in case you have guests that can no longer travel, this should give you 6 people not 4 prior to taxes, some tour operators even through in the air and you only have to pay the tax. Now Jade is a lovely property but it is very popular, if you see a price your happy with dont miss out!

Later Jan is also considered low season so it will price better than May :)

Hope this helps!

Merry Christmas, Petal Keine

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
