Secrets Royal Beach

Recommended Posts

If you go to youtube & research VideoPuntaCana, the owner of VideoPuntaCana has done videos for weddings at Secrets Royal Beach and you can get more of a feel for what it could look like. You can also do your wedding at Now Larimar and he has videos for weddings that he's done there, too.

I just got back from there and loved it. I saw two weddings - one on the beach (people swarmed all around it, but it was beautiful), and 1 on the top floor ...here are some pics i took

I like the set up, but not a fan of all those folks standing around. However, I understand that's what you may get if you do it on the beach.  LOVED her dress, I was thinking of picking out a dress similar to hers. FINALLY figured out how to post pics on here. These are pics that the wedding planner sent to us.

I'm really liking the gazebo overlooking the water setup and even the fountain at NOW Larimar next door. I received pictures from a wedding coordinator that look promising.

And I am LOVING this night time beach setup!

My problem now is that I was waiting for my travel agent I was working with who had originally suggested Secrets to get final pricing for flight and hotel before booking a date to make sure my fiances family can afford it, but now I think I'll have to find a new travel agent since she's not returning my e-mails. Any helpful tips??

Not bad. Sent off save-the-dates finally about a month ago and am starting to think about photographers and decorations. Does anyone by chance know who the photographer the resort uses, and if there's a crazy fee they charge for another photographer like I've heard of from other brides?

What are you doing with decorations? I think I'm going to go a DIY route since there won't be too many people at the wedding, and I'd rather spend money on things like photographers.

Have you picked out where you want the ceremony and reception? Sorry for so many questions, I see that your wedding date is closer and probably have a lot more planned than me!!

Cristina contacted me this week and told me that I would be assigned a specific wedding coordinator at the end of March since the date is approaching quickly - everything in terms of pictures that I have sent her would be saved in my file. I also asked her how much it would be for table flowers and vases with floating candles - tropical flowers would be $100 and the vases with candles are going to be $75 - I thought about purchasing the candles and vases here and taking them down - but I don't know - we only have 14 guests coming down. I think I am going to take down my own table runners, I asked to have long tables instead of the round ones. I want to do the wedding on the beach - our friends will be reading the ceremony since it is symbolic - the reception is at the relaxation pool - but she said everything is confirmed once you get down there. Even thought the tiffany chairs are $15 each - I am thinking that is the route I am going to go - the chairs that come with the package are the white covered chairs - my colors are going to be ivory, sangria/raspberry, and lime - so I think the white wouldn't work. If you look at the NOW Resort threads there is some really great info on there since they both managed by AM Resorts and have the same wedding coordinators.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
