Hello Brides, Does anyone have experiences to share from the salon at Now Larimar? I am getting married in one month and wondering if I should use their nail services or get them done at home before I go.  I will be down there 6 days before my actual wedding.  Any input is helpful!!!!

they did a great job on my hair and makeup as well as my girls hair! i can send you pics if you would like. as far as nails if you get the gel or shellac manicures/pedis at home you should def be ok for them to last. Thats what i did. I got my nails done a week before my wedding and they looked perfect.

I have posted in a few threads now (trying to cover all angles!) haha

 

I have attempted to tediously read through all of them & I have finally decided today it was time to take part in the conversation.

 

I have been confirmed for April 15th 2015 4pm at the fountain. We will be traveling the 12th-19th. I know its far in advance but any other Brides traveling around that time??

 

A question for past Brides! When the fountain is on full, is it too loud??

 

FI says I can have what I want but I cant decide between full fountain set up OR walking beside the fountain. I saw a picture with the fountain on full and from the Judge/Pastor/WC's view it was a beautiful backdrop for the Bride & Groom.

@ MsJillss Congrats and welcome to the forum! All of the threads have been so helpful to me in planning so I'm sure you'll have your wedding planned waaayyyy before your wedding! I wanted to let you know that I asked my Wedding Coordinator the same question regarding the sashes. She said that I would have to bring two sets; one set for the ceremony at the fountain and another set for our reception in the ballroom. She also explained that the set up fee per sash is $1, which is ok compared to them charging $3/sash and I can find them here for about $.65/sash! Also regarding the fountain, I'm a little torn between the full fountain setup and walking along the sides as well. There's you tube videos of different brides doing it both ways so I suggest you check them out! I will find the links and post them if you'd like. I did read a previous post by one bride who suggested that you ask the staff to "turn down" the fountain during the ceremony because when she watched the ceremony video, you could barely hear the pastor! Hope this helps!

Has anyone checked into "Booze Cruises"?  I would really really like to do one with all of my guests, but I get very very sea sick, so wondering if there are any that stay in shallow waters, or if there are areas without waves?  That may be a silly question considering it is the ocean! haha.

I am getting married in October 2014 at now larimar punta Cana. In my package hair and makeup is included.. Was wondering if anyone can email me pictures if salon did their hair.. Hello:)  I am getting married at Now Larimar November 2014.  My fiance and I have gone with the Divine package with our ceremony at the fountain, and our recption being poolside.  I picked my colours for the chair sashes, etc as turquoise.  Does anyone know or have a photo of what shade of turquoise this is.  Also, does anyone have any suggestions on the DJ package and photographer packages  Thank you.

Have you decided between a "symbolic" or legal wedding??

 

Does anyone know the estimated cost of the legal wedding (translations included)??

 

Also I'm going for a turquoise & pink (can't decide between guava & watermelon/punch), Any recommendations for places online that sell cheaper chair sashes & runners?

 

With the RIDICULOUS cost to rent through the resort, I'd like to bring alot of my own my decor...

I read that you are getting married in April 2015?? I am looking at the week before you, in hopes that it's still available. I have not submitted the forms yet because I really wanted to see reception areas prior to picking them. I was able to find pictures of the ceremony (which I will be doing at the Fountain) but I cant find any pics of the reception. I was also thinking of poolside, but there are two poolside options! How many people are you expecting at your wedding!!
