NOW LARIMAR BRIDES

Recommended Posts

Were those coconut drinks at an extra expense?  I wanted to have some sort of liquor on the table for shots... As we are bringing shot glasses as favours, but I was told I would have to buy that seperately.  Also I was looking into having wine as a welcome drink and I was told that would also be a separate cost - by the bottle... (and their wine list isn't cheap!)  Its all adding up!

I think international bar just means certain brands, may be equivilant of top shelf? The problem with wedding guide is we don't know exactly what their terminology means. What are you guys choosing for your dinner option? Also did any of you or any of you make menu cards? I love how they look at the table, but am afraid to print them up and then the menu changes. I mean, I wouldn't print them till right before we leave, but.....

Hi ladies! I am a Now Larimar bride getting married May 4th 2013.  I also inquired about the specialty drinks and they told me the drinks in the coconut would be $4.00 each extra.  The international bar is 12$ per person with just one beer option--Bohemia.  The premium bar is $18 per person and you get both Bohemia and Presidente with some upgraded liquers.  I am having 50 guests and the extra costs are really adding up!! it's $350 just for 25 extra chairs!  I am in contact with Carribean Celebrations to see if I can get them cheaper.  I wanted a buffet but it would be an extra $1400 instead of $1000 for 50 people sit-down, so we are just going with the sit down.  This website has been extremely helpful with the planning! :)

Yes Coco drinks were additional $4 and we used those as a welcome drink to the cocktail party. We had the bar that was included in the divine package and paid additional for extra hour. We had the champagne served to all guests immediately after the ceremony. IF the liquor is provided at your bar they can make a Tequila Sunrise, Rum Runner or whatever for everyone in a standard drink cup if you would like at the reception...If I remember correctly. We opted for Buffet due to our large group and the sit-down dinner taking up to much time of the reception with all the courses and the food was great. I did use now for the chair, tablecloth rentals etc just didnt have enough time to look elsewhere.

Hey Rose,

Sorry I don't have pictures of the pools but yes you do have to pay extra for the chairs. It would be an additional $3.50 for the regular chairs with white covers. I wouldn't be surprise if they charge it twice since they would have to move them from ceremony to reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
