NOW LARIMAR BRIDES

Recommended Posts

Hi All!!! Planning on traveling from April 13th - 20th 2013! And book my wedding.....Silvia told me that by now she only has 17th and 19th.....I want 17th for sure!!! First I wanted a Catholic Wedding, then when I found out all the paperwork, I am going on with the Symbolic option.....we want to exchange vows, does any know we can do that?

Who will be there during that week?

Hi Maggie!  I was in the same boat as you about a year ago, trying to decide between Dreams and Now.  We almost went with Dreams Punta Cana, as we absolutely love their wedding gazebo area, but parts of the resort don't look as modern as we'd like.  We went back and forth but in the end decided to go with the newer more intimate resort.
What are your pros/cons, or important factors? Are you leaning in one direction more than the other right now? If so, then you should probably just trust your gut! :)

We were thinking of Catholic also, but are going with Symbolic. It is very simple:

  • You say your wows and have ceremony just like the real one
  • Choose the person to marry you: your WC for free, a hotel pastor for 250$ or often recommended pastor Rick York for $350. Even if pastor marries you, it is still symbolic.
  • No one in the wedding party will be told it is symbolic. Only you can tell them that.
  • If you want, you can request a symbolic document signing during the ceremony. It holds no legal power :)
  • The ceremony is from 20 to 30 minutes.
  • you can find many youtube videos from the resort, will give you good idea of how things happen.

I posted mnore on the other blog, the new 2011 resort opening one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
