    Hi All--

For those of you that have gotten married in Santa Barbara...How did you get started?

Can you recommend any locations/venues? Also, did you hire a wedding planner--if so, any recommendations ?

    Thanks so much!

My Sister got married at the Four Seasons Biltmore.  It was a fantastic place to get married.

I just got married in Santa Barbara in March 2011. I went to school in Santa Barbara as well so I am very familiar with the area. We chose Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort and Spa for our venue, it was beautiful!! Our ceremony was held outside in the Plaza del Sol and we moved inside to one of the ballrooms for our reception.  I didn't hire a wedding planner but the venue does require a Day of Coordinator, which is not provided. I went with Amazing Days Events and couldn't have been more pleased!  Good luck with your wedding planning, Santa Barbara is beautiful!
