Thank you sooo much, you are so sweet. It was truly an amazing day! Cheri's shop on Etsy doesn't have anything in it so that's why you may not be able to find her. But her Facebook page is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Caricatures4you/94443046225?ref=ts Try shooting her a message on there. If she doesn't respond within a week let me know and I can give you her email. She's not really computer crazy like the rest of us :) The cake topper came from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/personalizd-Custom-wedding-Cake-Topper-figurine-gift-3D-/180671730713?pt=AU_WeddingSupplies&hash=item2a10dfd419#ht_3327wt_922 The more stuff you add to it the more expensive it is..(i.e. Palm tree, animals, etc.)

You're day was absolutely beautiful! Loved your colors and EVERYTHING. I tried to find the caricatures4u on esty but I couldn't find it :-( Where did you get your bobble heads?

You purchased a lot from etsy.  Shipping fees are my biggest fear.  Did you find shipping fees to be outrageous?  I am so with you on not being crafty.  I believe you definitely must have the "nitch".  I will humor myself in attempting a few projects. lol.  Wish me luck! Ahahahahahaha

Great idea to use "excess" on your guests!  What was your budget if you don't mind me asking? I'm sure inquiring minds would like to know!  confused.gif LOL I just love these little smileys. LOL

The luminaries were from etsy seller: thepaperynook. She is AMAZING to work with. We ordered 35 names, 2 large ones for us and then we ordered large ones for table numbers. And yes, they are flat and one end has double sided tape and you just peel off the backing on the tape and roll them yourself. We had battery operated tea lights. Here are a couple more pics:

Since the wedding costs were way under our budget, we decided to take that money and spend on our guests. So for my bridal party we spent about $400 each, the groomsmen about $300 each and each welcome bag was about $30.

The earrings came from etsy seller: laalee, she is also very sweet. Here is a better picture of the earrings, they are a little smaller than in her pictures:

As for the washclothes.. My resort actually DIDN'T carry them. Only hand towels and regular towels. So my guests were SOOOO thankful I had read about that previously on this site and added them to their bags. Also- the stadium cups were great too. The bars all have super small cups and my 22oz cups were loved by everyone. Saved a trip to the bar for a 2nd drink, haha. And it looked pretty cool with 30 people in the pool with the same cups. Everyone knew our rowdy group by the end of the trip, haha.

Hey There,

Thank you for all your compliments :) I found that most people on etsy honestly have great shipping rates. I just made sure I did a little looking around and tried to find the best deal possible before I bought anything. Make sure you check around Etsy or Ebay because lots of people sell the same things and sometimes you can always find a cheaper price.

We also didn't really have a budget. I knew I didn't want to spend more than 30K and we ended up right around there. I think it was about 26K last I totaled everything (honeymoon included). It was really important for me to get our wedding party and guests as much as we could since we got the free package at the resort and only ended up spending about $600 there- (minister fee's, extra chairs, sashes ect.) So I went all out for my attire, our wedding party and our guests.

Hello

My daughter is getting married at GBPJ in April 2012.  You planned a very beautiful and personnel wedding.  What was you favourite spot for wedding pictures, the one thing you would recomend?  Did you actually book all details prior to arriving in Jamacia?  We will be arriving a week before the quests arrive.  She will be having between 40 and 50 quests.  Did you purchase everything to go into your gift bags at home, or will you were there ie: towels.  Thinking of giving Jamaican Rum as a Thank You gift, night of the wedding with a group photo.  Really liked the all white rehearsal dinner.

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.

Maddy

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
