First dance surprises

Recommended Posts

So I am currently in the car with FI trying to talk him into it as I type! He says he will do it if I find "the perfect song." Can you girls give me song suggestions? I really think this will be perfect if we do it! All our friends always joke that it's not a party until FI and I do the fishing pole/caught fish routine on the dance floor (our poor children... they have no chance!)

How about the "double dutch" song where you jump rope? I cannot remember for the life of me what it's called, but they played it at a bachelorette party this summer and it was hilarious to dance to. Do you know what I'm talking abouthuh.gif Sorry, I can't remember the name.

OMG, I am totally worried that the dance floor will be kind of empty (been to a few weddings either there's no dancing at all after dinner or the music just plays and few people hit the dance floor). This will be a great way to get the party going. I'll really have to work hard to get Paul to sign up for this. He is not a dance person, so let's see how it will go.

Pete and I are not great dancers. I finally talked him into taking dance lessons. He says if all goes well, he may be up to trying something surprising. I am going to sign us up for lessons pretty soon, so we have plenty of time to prepare. He's not too thrilled about that, but who knows, maybe he'll actually end up having fun. I guess we'll find out when we start.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
