    Hello all -

I'm planning to get married on St. Pete's Beach.  I was looking at Tradewinds Island Grand and giving the option for guest to book at both Sandpiper or Island Grand.  We are having a small wedding, and want to keep the cost for our guests down for lodging.

Has anyone been there?  Are there other locations that you like better?  Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Desi

Sounds like a nice location! If Los Cabos didn't work out for us I wanted to get married on Sanibel Island in Florida. I've never been to St. Pete's Beach but I've been to Sanibel and I love it there! Guests can stay on the island or in Fort Myers and the surrounding areas where I think prices for lodging are reasonable. I don't know if that's too far south for you but just a thought. Good luck and happy planning!

Thanks Pucca.  I actually looked into Ft Myers, but for our type of family/friends, I believe Sanibel/Ft Myers will be a little too quiet for our group.  A friend is actually in Sanibel right now and is checking out some of the properties there for me.  I also have a friend attending a wedding at Tradewinds in 2 weeks.  I just found that out today although I've been researching the property for about a month.

We also have a friend who lives in St. Petersburg which FI and I will probably be spending time with after the wedding weekend.

I'm hoping to get some good feedback from my friends on both locations.

My mom and I stayed there about a year ago. LOVED IT! Our favorite part was that there is a pool for adults only... Very nice and quiet. While we were there we watched a wedding and it seemed very nice. I think you will be very pleased with Tradewinds, I would stay there again for sure!
