Wedding Photos

Recommended Posts

Hi future"Mrs." I have seen on another wedding site that brides ask for certain photos to be taken. I need help with this one. I am having a DW in Ocho Rios at the Riu 10/25/08 and their wedding package includes a photographer. Do I let him take the pictures or do I request certain pictures? If so, which one do I request?

Its best to only request a few and let the photographer do what they do best! I know at my wedding I am requesting a few specific family photos (like seperate ones with my parents, no group shot since they are divorced, and a lot with our son) other than that though I am basically just letting her do what she thinks is best. They usually always do the "standard" shots.

I'm using the same photographer at RIU. I wasn't thrilled with his work at first, but I've seen more recent photos and am happier. I think you just need to ask him for what you want. I'll have him do the standard shots and then give him a basic list of the photos I definitely want.

Because it is a resort photographer be very clear, and I would write them down. I told my photographer I wanted mostly pictures of my kids, and of us and the kids. He didn't pay any attention and I was so busy I never took notice. I don't have one picture of Everton, Liam, and me alone. I am so upset Liam should have had a picture of his parents and him on our weddig day. He also only took 2 pictures of the kids alone, one family pic, and he took one of Kenda, one of Liam, and one of Timothy alone he forgot the other kids, he also forgot my kids in Evertons family picture, even Liam and Bria. I didn't relize until I was choosing my pictures. These resort photographers are doing a job, and that is how they look at it, so really think about whats important to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
