1 thing to do down. . .4763 to go!

Recommended Posts

Well, we've finalized our plans and paid our deposit (FINALLY!). We're officially spending three nights (four days) at Paradisus Punta Cana where we will be married on May 26, 2008 and then we're buggering off to Excellence Punta Cana where we've booked the Honeymoon Club Suite for a week.

And now the rest of the wedding planning goodness comes into play. We've booked our resorts, put down our deposits, now just to decide on invitations, STD's, receptions, flowers, ceremony locations, rings, dresses, suits, photographer, gifts, OOT bags, flights, menus, guests, headache medication/elephant tranquilizers (thats for me once I become to overwhelmed haha) and pretty much anything else we can possibly think of.

I have to admit the WORST part of planning a DW is the fact that whilst I can sit here, close my eyes and just imagine Sarah and I lounging around on the beautiful beach. I unfortunately have to open my eyes and find myself sitting in my terribly uncomfortable chair in my cold office (I don't think they believe in heat here) at work. . . 8 months away from that beach!

But oh well. . .as the great Leonardo Da Vinci once said:

"I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end."

Take care everyone and please keep the good advice coming!!

Cheers friday.gif

And I haven't forgotten about you! As soon as I get a minute, I will send you all the PPC info that you asked for in your PM! My apologies for the delay, but please bear with me! :-)
No worries! Get it over as soon as you're able and thank you to everyone!

I think we've selected our photographer as well. The lovely Ms. Robin DePaula boasts a rather impressive website and an attractive DW special right now. Even better yet, she's available when we need her!

Now. . .on to invitations/STD's! and then after spending massive amounts of money and having a mild heart attack . . . . shots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
