Hi Ladies!  So we finally put our deposit down today and I am itching to send out our STDs!

Before I can do that, I have to finish up the website that will contain all of the info our guests need for the trip and the wedding.

If anyone has suggestions of wording for the site, information to definitely include, etc. that would be so helpful!

(Or if that info is already on here and you can point me in the right direction, that would be great, too!  I am still pretty new on here, and have trouble sifting through the wealth of info that exists in the boards!)

Thanks!!!

We included information about us as individuals, us as a couple, how we met, engagement, etc. We also included information about our families and bridal party, our destination, and at home reception. I have information ready and saved to add once we get the date finalized with our travel agent (which I will be including), and the date booked for our at home reception, but I have not added it yet.

We also included a lot of pictures, both together as well as of our "nearest and dearest", We will be adding where we are registered once we get closer too.

I have seen brides include a page for song requests, if that is something you are considering.

If you want to look at mine....

There is another thread on here for websites.  If you search "wedding website" in the search box, a couple of links should come up.  I think the best thing for me was to look at other websites that people made and they will let you "borrow" their ideas.  One bride in particular, Coconoir1908, has an incredible website that I used for inspiration.  Maybe send her a private message, or you can find her site info on the "Wedding Website?" thread.

Best of luck!

I started a website with the knot, but I wasn't happy with it.  I found that they have less options than other sites and it wasn't the easiest to use.  After searching other sites, I decided to use weddingwire.com and absolutely LOVE it!!!  It is really user friendly, you can play several songs (which was important to me) and you can add lots of pictures.  All of our guests really love our site and have given us really positive feedback.

Good luck!

I also used weddingwire.com for 2 different wedding websites:  #1 for the DW and #2 for the AHR.  I didn't try and other sites, but I can say that weddingwire is quite easy to use even though there aren't too many options.  One of my friends tried the knot for her website but found it too complicated and ended up on weddingwire.

Hi Ladies!  Does anyone know of a wedding website that allows you (or your guests) to post their travel plans into a calendar?  I am planning a destination wedding but have the advantage of attending a DW in May.  As a guest we realized we wanted to know what days our friends would be spending at the resort so we could coordinate travel plans.  Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
