Thats a lot of money to lose!  But I'm loving your attitude!!  My mom was the last to apply for a Passport and still hasnt received it yet.  Talk about a lesson in responsibility... for her!  LOL  So you're sticking with your original date and location... Moon Dance Villas in Negril Jamaica for 11-11-11?

Yes it is indeed and no one shed a tear when I couldn't do Jamaica, everyone was happy because Florida was easy and convenient for them (but not for me, we stay in Virginia).  So through the entire process, everyone looked out for themselves and was so happy that I was having our wedding in Florida, LOL. People are ridiculous.  At least your mom has applied for one, his brother or cousin have yet to and as of Saturday, October 1, they will be officially scratched off the guest list.  

 

I wish I could have stuck with my date, I switched back to a DW in June, so my date pickings were very slim.  We are now going to Dominican Republic (a lot cheaper than Moon Dance Villas) and we will be getting married 11-12-11, although we will be there on the 10th.  The bride that is getting married on the 12th, I already wished her bad vibes, LOL (no just joking!!!)

Vent anytime you need to, this forum has definitely been a great place for me to get my venting out. We are here as extra shoulders to lean on.

Luckily for us we did not have too many people we invited. Outside of family we tried to think of the people we wouldn't mind being on a tropical island with. The last thing I needed was to fly somewhere beautiful to turn around and end up kicking some tail because someone wants to start drama. I am not having it.shameonyou.gif

 

Ladies, I am feeling the same way as you all. At first I pissed, mad, and even started thinking about making changes and losing deposits. Then all that turned into the attitude of " YOU GOT TO BE FREAKING KIDDING ME" this is not about you and what you folks want. None of them are paying anything therefore you definitely have no say. If it is that important for you to be there for your brother then make it happen with no complaints. What are these people thinking ?stupid.gif At this point I do not care what they want or do.

YES YES YES _ What mdcoug said, I lost plenty of deposits only for my mom to tell me to step up and be Selina....if they WANT to come they will make it THEIR responsibility!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
