Paloma Bonita is not very good.  We have stayed at Dreams for a vacation the last 3 years and have decided to get married there in 2013.  We finally ate at that restaurant last year and were not impressed at all.  As far as beach receptions.  The side by Himitsu has soft sand.  The side on the bigger beach has crushed shell.  The night club next door is fun (and is part of the hotel).  The drinks for the bar are included in the hotel package as well.   Hope this helps!

Hey ladies, I hope someone can help me!

I am in the process of working on finding a photographer! think I am going to go with Juan Navarro, but because the resort wants to charge me a vendors fee I wanted to check to see what everyone's feelings were on the photographer at the resort as well?

Has anyone used them?

Can you get a bigger package? If so does anyone know how does the add on cost and what do you get?

Thanks ladies!

Congrats Alina8706! and welcome to the forum :) A professional photographer will out-perform the in-house resort photographer every time!

It's well worth the extra money spent to get a professional to record this once-in-a-lifetime occasion which you will cherish for the rest of your life :)

You can always use the resort photographer that comes with your package to take some friends + family shots after your wedding, or during the reception - or other parties you have during your celebrations.

You'll just be much happier with the results you'll get from the superior work of the better trained, equipped + motivated professional !

It's the right decision to make, and you'll be happy you did "for happily ever after"!

Hey ladies,

I was just curios what all of your are doing for bridal flowers? Will you be placing a flower in your hair? Will you have all white flowers? Or will you have colored flowers? I was sure I wanted my flowers to have lots of color but now looking at other brides I'm confused.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
