Dreams Cancun 2013 Destination Wedding Brides

You choose the menu that you would like your guest to enjoy.

As you have the ultimate pkg you have the option to pick and chose any app, dinner, and desert form any thing on any menu, gold  you can mix and match per say and or silver .

If you have more than 40 guests you will have to have the buffet.

I hope this info helps you out.

My daughter did not want to choose for all her guest , we had 39 people and opted for the buffet , it was amazing . We also had the ultmate pkg and add one more tier to the cake and no desert.

Good luck

Hi everyone I'm so excited I found this site. I am getting married November 8th 2013 and I think I read every question in here. I have one that I feel like I was told wrong through my travel agent but maybe not. Do I really have to be there 3 full business days before a symbolic wedding? I know this is true for a civil wedding but I don't see why for a symbolic one?

Oh...i THOUGHT you were allowed to choose one appetizer, one main course and one dessert (and could pick and choose from any of the 3 menus if you were ultimate package)...BUT i was under the understanding that those 3 choices you picked were for ALL of your guests.  Is that wrong??   If someone could clarify that would be great.  Thanks.

Good morning to all:

I know this is a 2013 Bride forum, I am a 2014 Bride but could really use some direction! I was using destinationweddings.com as a wedding planner, but the planner keeps pushing other resorts on me and I really wanted to do Dreams. Has anyone else had an experience like this or are using a wedding planner? I have sent numerous requests to the resort and haven't heard back a thing and really want to reserve our date! Thanks so much for your advice. =)

Hey girls! My little sister got married at Dreams Cancun in May last year, and it was absolutely the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended.  I recently got engaged, and my fiance and I have decided to elope this April and get married in the same place! It is the second wedding for the two of us, so we are doing it alone and then having a small church wedding for our families when we get back.  For those of you wondering about whether to use the resort photographer, I personally think Adventure Photos did a FANTASTIC job on my sister's photos.  It's part of the reason we decided to get married there.  Here's the link to her photos:

My fiance and I had a few photos taken after my sister's photo shoot, and that dock has to be one of the most beautiful spots in Cancun!

Also, my sister wore her hair mostly down, and although it was extremely windy, the hairstyle held up really well (as opposed to mine, which was a frizzy mess).  If I remember correctly, however, she was not happy with her makeup, so I plan to do my own.  Her coordinator (and mine) was Cecilia, and she was very easy to work with, especially on-site.

Right now our big dilemma is figuring out whether to do the legal ceremony, or just wait until we get back and do the church ceremony a few weeks later.  The legal ceremony is almost $800 more, and I'm a little leery about getting a blood test done in Mexico.

Hello Ladies,

I'm getting married at the Dreams Cancun Resort on May 31st 2013. I've had my guest confirmed then I originally planned so I was thinking of eliminating the cocktail hour to cover the cost of the additional guest. The only dilemma is that I was planning on taking my pictures while my guest were enjoying cocktail hour. If I eliminate it, what would my guests be doing? Have any of you ladies came across this problem? Do you have any advice?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
