Does anyone else have info on this?

Explains why all of a sudden out of nowhere my guests can't book rooms. My wedding is at the beginning of May 2014 and I'm kind of freaking out as of two days ago. I was able to book rooms for 11 of us so far, but there are still another 20-25 people coming and nobody can book anything right now..... I called the resort tonight and spoke to a very nice young man. He said that he has no information and doesn't know what's going on at all himself right now, but to try back soon and that they should have an answer in a week or two. :BangHead:

We are having the same problem that you are.  Our wedding is in May, 2014 and no one can give us a straight answer as to what our options are at this point or who is taking over for the hotel.  Any information you get would be great and we'll post here if we hear anything as well.

Hi all

I am new to this thread as I'm looking for a resort and the more I look, the more I am getting drawn to Dreams Cancun. I want to thank the bride that posted the pic of the gazebo location. It looks beautiful and private. That was my main fear was to have random people walking around during my wedding. The room prices are not bad either. Can anyonr tell me if they have more than the allotted number for the packages? If so, how much extra is it per person. I'm thinking we may have about 40 people, but the Caprice package is only up to 20. How does that work? Thanks in advance!

Are you thinking Dreams Riviera Cancun? Dreams Cancun was bought out. If so, check out the DRC threads!

Yes. Sorry. It's the Dreams Riviera Cancun. I'm waiting to hear back from them. I hope I can book my date.  I'm pretty set now on this location. All I need is to be able to finalize the packages for my amount of guests! Keep your fingers crossed. I'll go check out DRC. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
