Dreams Cancun 2013 Destination Wedding Brides

I think that it is 2200.00 I believe is the quote that we got late last year. he is amazing and quite an artist with the camera but he was to rich for us. We took Dreams photogragher and they are incredible , I would have to say save your money  and go with Adventure ( the one that is in with Dream).

They are included in most of the packages, you will get 50 photos, DVD, link to a slid show, and a video or the entire ceromony which the ultimate package... You can trade off things that you do not want for example. We opted not for the 1 hour app for all the guest and we took that money ( per say) and we could add it to the dinner so we got 10 extra people dinner for the one hour of app. The guest can eat and drink what every they want in between the your wedding and the reception .

The other thing that we did was no desert and we got to add 1 more tier to the cake , well worth as you dont need both .

Just a suggestion, hope that helps.

Thanks, I'm actually thinking of going for the Gran Caribe or The Royal. Apparently their photographer is not great, so that's why I was thinking of an outside vendor. Although 2200 is a bit too much for us too. I might end up with dreams, so who knows. It's good to know that their photographer is good.

Hey Ladies, I just returned from my wedding a few days ago. It was absolutely fabulous! I am going to post a few pictures and a review here later but for now here is the link to my slideshow. We ended up going with Adventure photos with the resort. They did a great job.

Let me know too if you have any questions. I'd be happy to answer them!

I just submitted our questionairre for Dreams Cancun - our wedding date is August 12, 2013!  This has been such a daunting and stressful process trying to find a resort.  We are having about 16 people total..very small.  I had some questions and dont know if anyone would be willing to answer.

1.  Is a cocktail hour between wedding and reception really necessary?

2.  How much was hair and makeup?

3.  Did anyone have a DJ and lightup dance floor and how much was that?

4.  Any photos, advice, instruction, etc would be great!

PS- do they have an on site disco/dance club?  What are some good cancun clubs to head to after the reception?

THANKS BRIDES AND CONGRATS!

I just got back from my Dreams wedding over a week ago it was amazing!! I would definately go through a travel agent that can offer you all a group rate. My travel agent used Apple and the prices were amazing. My friend went through the resort and paid a little more than double what everyone else paid. For 3 nights 4 days it was $550. This included the transfers to from the airport to the resort as well. The airfare was seperate. We thought it was a great deal. They all got oceanfront rooms as well a higher room category. You should see how amaxing they do on the flowers and the cake. photo (8).JPG photo (9).JPG
Beautiful. The flowers are lovely. Can u give any contact information for the travel agent you used? I looked into VIP TA but Im not sure.

1. We did not have a cocktail hour in Nov for my daughters wedding , we had purchased the ultimate pkg and we swapped the cocktail for 10 extra people for dinner. You guests can get a cocktail any where for free as well a some to eat to tie them over , why pay if not needed?

2.I think both the hair and make

up was around 150.00 for the bride

3. We brought our own sound system with us it was an amp and speakers together , cost at the resort was rediculuos , so we saved approx 700.00 for that but we did have the lighted dance floor on the beach which just made the setting amazing cost was 699.00 for 3 hours./

4. Adventure the photogragher at the resort they are amazing , with the package that we bought you got 50 pics of your choice , link to slide show and video of the entire ceramony .... No need to spend 1000.00 of extra dollars , keep the money for yourself ...

Hope this helps you , Good luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
