@FutureMrsGarcia thanks! We have 90 people as well. Your ceremony is on the sky deck, right? Did you rent lighting and decor for your welcome party? Do they provide a sweetheart table, or are you and your hubby sitting at a table as well?

@Danielle1 Yes, our ceremony is on the sky deck with the cocktails and reception on sky bar terrace! We are having 12 tables total (10 tables of 8 people and 2 tables of 6 people) and a sweetheart table which palace is providing. I am worried about the space but I have seen pictures where there are that many tables so I know it can be done. We didn't want the Palenque terrace because it has to be shut down by 10pm and we are planning to have our reception until 12AM! We are renting decor for the welcome party from Latin Asia - dark brown tables, bamboo chairs, burlap table runners, centerpieces with lanterns and flowers and twinkle lights with hanging stars to create a romantic, rustic atmosphere. It's not cheap but we really wanted it to look special and set the tone for the rest of the weekend! We are renting decor from Latin Asia for the ceremony and reception as well. I cannot wait for it all to get here and just pray the weather holds out for us!!!! It looks like it has been raining almost every day the last couple weeks.

@ wmac my reception ends at 11:00 PM! We were also given the option of extending until 1:00 AM and just decided not to do so. My reception is on the Sky Bar Terrace. I believe the Palenque Terrace is the only terrace that requires you to end your reception at 10:00 PM.

Is anyone upgrading their cake or are you all using the complimentary cake? My wedding coordinator quoted me $159 for an upgrade to two tier and $219 for three tier. However, I sent her a picture of a two tier cake that I like and it was $700... maybe it was too fancy? I am just wondering what everyone else is doing!

Hi BP brides!
I'm starting to plan my wedding for December 2016, and I was wondering...for those who have had/will be having December weddings, what time are you planning your ceremonies? I've read that 1.5 hours before sunset is ideal for photos. I know that Cancun recently changed time zones, so December sunsets 2015 and onwards should be around 6:00pm. Would you guys recommend a ceremony at 3pm or 4pm? Thanks in advance!
