Hey.. What do you mean they are always there? They have lanterns there regularly?

It's not as much people as it seems to be "room nights". My coordinator said we need to make up 75 room nights to get unlimited private events. So if one couple or if one single stays in a room for a week, that counts as 7 nights. You would basically need to have 11 booked rooms for a week to be eligible for this.

You actually need at least 25 people for a private event, regardless of weather you earn unlimited free events or not. We almost didn't reach 25 people and we made a deal with palace to pay $55 per person missing in order to reach 25 people (for example, we thought we would only have 23 people, they were going to charge us $110 extra per event, even though they were "free" because we had 75 room nights)... All the rules are so tricky!

@Wafflesmom  @@LauraM @TheBHolders I will definitely post a review after the wedding. Here is the link to one review that I found on here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/reviews/r/3723-moon-palace-golf-spa-resort-all-inclusive/. She said the DJ was great, but was an hour late so they ended up getting a refund.

I have seen several others, but I can't remember which thread they were on. I have not seen any reviews that complained about the DJ services (just the one above that said her DJ showed up late).

The rates go up every year and the owner told me that their 2015 rates are not available yet, so I only have the 2014 rates. PM me your email addresses and I will send you what I have.

@@ABfutureSulli I'm using Latin Asia... their flowers seem nicer than the resort flowers and they're soooo accommodating and easy to talk to. It's costing me about $200 per centerpiece, $200 bridal bouquet, $30 mothers' corsages and $15 for bouts. The resort was also asking outrageous prices for any sort of upgrade so I opted not to use them.

There's also a few recent posts on here about ladies using silk flowers from etsy.... they look amazing, real, and your guaranteed to have perfect looking flowers all day.

Hi everyone! I'm still debating between Beach Palace and Moon Palace for my wedding. Moon Palace seems way too big for me, but I'm afraid Beach Palace isn't large enough! Has anyone had a wedding at Beach Palace with 100-120 guests?

@@Danielle1 I'm having my wedding at beach palace and am expecting possibly up to 100 people! I was worried about the number but have been reassured by my WC that the terrace and Sky bar area can hold than many people. Also I have looked at some Del Sol photography archives and there were a couple weddings with 100+ guests at beach palace and it looked fine. Hope this helps! :)

@@FutureMrsGarcia - thanks so much for the info!  I was worried that the resort would be too book for 50+ rooms or there wouldn't be places to hold events.  I'm so happy to know that it will work! I will most likely go with Beach Palace!

I've been to both resorts. Beach Palace is definitely smaller than Moon, but Moon is HUGE. I stress.. HUGE.

You need to take a shuttle to get around.. especially if they upgrade you to concierge. When my FI and I went, we were upgraded to concierge which was lovely, but it was so far from everything.

The only other negative thing I can say about Moon is that the beach was disappointing for me and my FI. We LOVE the beach, but you wont see anyone swimming in it at Moon Palace because unfortunately the resort itself is situated on a cove. This makes the water a lot darker and full of seaweed :(

@ - Thank you so much for the info! I've been to Moon Palace and it is just too large for me. I'm afraid my guests would get lost and/or I would never see them. I think we will stick with Beach Palace!  Thanks so much for the info! I'm excited!

There was a huge wedding at Beach Palace when I was there... we never saw any of the actual wedding events (everything was done indoors) but it seemed to work just fine for them... and they were always having such a good time, it was like the entire resort was taken over by their friends and family... I think BP is the perfect size for your wedding.

Hi All,

Have any past brides had their make up and hair done by the Salon within the Beach Palace? I am currently arranging mine and I have seen some great reviews on vendor Styling Trio but would be great to hear of people's experiences of the in house team.

thanks :) x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
