Also, I'm looking to book an outside DJ since I have heard so many mixed reviews on the one the Beach Palace has.

Hi Bella Rios, you should fight back and make sure they honor what was quoted to you.  The $800 fee should not apply to you b/c you signed your contract in 2013 and the $800 fee is for 2014.  Tell them that and see what they say.  Good Luck.

Just signed my contract for my BP wedding--so excited. I've been working with Angelica in the Miami office. She just sent me the decor company they use "grupo gamo". Has anyone used this company?  Is this the same company as JSAV? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Gama and Zuniga are the furniture rental companies.  JSAV is the dj service they provide.

So ladies we took the plunge and have officially just paid our deposit and signed the contract with Del Sol for photography.  From the first moment I saw their photos I was in love.  I am thrilled to finally have a big detail like this locked down.  Makes the wedding seem much more real now!! lol :)

Congrats.  I'm still working on deciding my photographer.  This has to be the hardest thing so far.  It makes selecting a resort, picking a date, and picking a dress seem like a walk in the park.  lol

Yay! Good choice shmanderz.  I booked Del Sol for my engagement pictures and will be doing them in October when I go for my site visit.  I also fell in love with their style I only hope my fiance ends up loving them just as much as me and we can book them for our wedding as well.  The only thing with choosing them is most of our wedding budget is going to photography.  I'm sure its well worth it because after the wedding is over photos is all we have, right?? lol

Oh my gosh, same with ours! lol. But honestly I would rather put most of my money into the photos that are going to last forever. Also the sky terrace areas dont need much decoration since the scenery and location is so beautiful on its own! Don and I are doing the complimentary package for the ceremony and then just keeping things reallllly simple for the reception with soft ambient lighting and white linens and the hanging lanterns. My theory is no one is going to remember the color of the napkins, chair covers and huge centerpieces so why waste the money on that sort of stuff! lol

I'm doing the same thing I'm doing the complimentary package and keeping the decorations at a minium.  I think the resort and view of the beach is what everyone will remember I'll add my own touches and bring some things from home but not going to go too crazy with flowers and other decorations.  I need to use my money for the important things like photos lol.
