I asked my planner, they said it's not included.

They said other brides might be receiving this service through their travel agent. Do you have a travel agent?

How Strange...I booked directly with their wedding department/office.  Are you doing a group booking with them?  I am doing a room block directly with them....maybe that is the difference?

Hey Past Brides! I am booking My Reception Decor through Zungia and was wondering about the IVA Charge 11% and about the transportation  charge? Did any of you pay for this? Thank you girls in advance!!!
Hi Kather2008 I am interested in this too, currently getting quotes. We are doing the Pure package which comes with 3 reception tables included. I don't know if it's better for me to hire anything extra direct through Palace so it all matches. Lily has quoted $150 set up an labour fee (that's for 3 extra chairs, 3 lights and a piñata??!) Also - our wedding date is May 27th so we'll be there for your wedding date :D exciting!! Xx

I would stress too much over the weather!  I was just there for a site visit 2 weeks ago, and the various weather reports said rain and thunderstoms, but when we were there, it did not rain at all!  The first day it was cloudy, but the other 4 days, the weather was perfect!  Don't stress and enjoy your wedding! :-)

Hi Ladies,

Yes i paid $150 set up fee, but this was for:

-sashes on the chairs for the ceremony

-the long table (33 guests) including linens napkins, plates, centerpieces, the chairs

-the strings of white laterns

-the pinata

And I did pay the 11% IVA

Keep in mind i did the complimentary package so I rented everything through Zuinga. So i felt the $150 was fair.

But remember Beach Palace will also charge you a set up fee for anything additional you bring. I paid another $300 to Beach Palace to have them set up my fans and programs for the ceremony, and to put out my place cards, put cupcake wrappers on my cupcakes put out the cupcake to go bags, place my cupcake sign and signature drink sign, signature drink straws. Put the candy in the Pinata, tie the bride and groom sign onto our chairs, and to put out my guest book

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
