I answered a survey and she gace me a quote for all the reception decor. I emailed her recently to check in on everything and make sure there is nothing elae she needs from me, and no one has responded :-( just wondering if anyone else has been having this problem? Anyone have an email for Zuniga besides Lily's email? Thx!

Hey Nicole,

I had no problem with Lily, I am sure she is just working on other weddings right now and willl get back to you shortly. When is your wedding? She was really good with me, I changed my mind a million times. One thing i learned half way through was to ask for a discount. Worst case, they say no. But i did get a better price on some items just because I asked.

Thanks! I was pretty proud of myself.  I'm sure I spent $100- $150 on decorations that I brought down to Mexico myself.  I got lucky and booked my wedding before they put a time limit on the unlimited events so I didn't have to pay for the extra time.

Ok that's great! Yeah, we want a 4 hr reception so we knew we would have to pay extra for that one hour, but at least I don't have to pay for all 4 :). I'm thinking of making and bringing most of my decor and renting out the bigger stuff.

Two things Kristie, how much was extra lighting? Also I had a hard time getting in touch with Lily so I emailed my wedding planner and she got in contact with her and I am paying my wedding coordinator for the zuniga portion of the wedding...makes me think they actually own Zuniga but whatever!

Hi ladies!

I'm officially a BP bride!! Big day is on Dec 15th, 2013 at 2pm!  Just signed my complimentary wedding contract but with no luck confirming the Sky Wedding Deck.  Hopefully it won't be a problem! I think I'd seriously cry if they told me I can't have it!! Anyways, I see alot of you are bringing their own decorations.  Can someone tell me what they're bringing and how much BP is charging you for the setup fee??  Thanks so much ladies!!

congrats!!!

At the moment your WC should charge you $150 to set up for the ceremony and reception and the price is determined on the WC- so it could go up depending on how much you have or like me, you could have your WC show up an hour and a half late to your on site meeting and then she doesn't charge you a dime lol.

Hey Nursebrooke,

I am paying $150 for 2 "tree stands of lights" and $100 for under the table lighting.

And i agree, I think Palace resorts owns Zuniga and JSAV as I am paying it all on one invoice.

HI Cheryl,

I keep asking but they won't give me a price for the setup fee. They keep saying my onsite coordinator will let me know when i get there.

Which i dont like. YOu already brought the stuff so they have you by the horns, obviosuly you will pay what they charge as you have no choice. Im going to push back and see if I can get an answer.

My fiance is going for his tux fitting today! I know it's more about preference...but are you guys coordinating the mens' vests and ties with your bridesmaid dress colors? Or are the men just doing black and white? Or champagne colored vests, etc??

I'm feeling a little lost on this one. I don't want it to look too "prom" or cheesy with color coordination.

Let me know what you guys think :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
