What's the difference between the concierge level room and the deluxe ocean view? Hubby says the only difference "real" is the massages and the price. He said who really cares about bath soapsthat we're not going to use and the liqour cabinet. Anyone know if there are any other differences worth paying for?

Renewing32,

Congrats to you! I am getting married 4.26.13 at Beach Palace as well. I am feeling a little overwhelmed/lost in the planning process. I have emailed with Janessa in the Miami office as well anytime I have had a question and she has always been super nice and very responsive. Do I just bug her with an email every time I have a question? I was just wondering when I really get to the PLANNING process and get pricing list and options on all my centerpieces, flowers, etc...things like this... its hard to know where I am on my budget right now having no idea what I am doing for any decor, music... ANYTHING! Can anyone walk me through how this works??!! HELP!

THANKS!!

I'm also wondering how this process works. i am a planning demon when it comes to events and projects ( I do it for a living) and having no control over this process and not getting direct answers drives me into OCD overload! i was planning on not having bridesmaids so i could eliminate that drama (and cost) but now my friends are begging on being bridesmaids! totally overwhelmed.:(

Hi ladies, I'll be getting married at BPC June 22, 2013 at 6pm. I'm so lost on just about everything. Janessa has been great so far and I'm really glad I don't have to deal with Charmaine that much bc my TA is amazing! I have a ton of questions for you ladies but my mind just went completely blank. Congrats to everyone! Ooh, to those who are having a small amt of guests...are you actually going to have a reception?? I'm thinking of just doing the cocktail hour and dinner reservation as a reception. Then just going out with my besties afterwards.....is that lame?

It's not lame, you're making use of the stuff the resort is alrady giving you. it looks like i will be doing the same. i think we get the most outof our money with the cocktail hours, espically since its a renewal for us and not our actual wedding.

For all of you crazy planners out there...to put things into perspective, I booked back in November and am getting married at BP 7/28/12...less than 90 days from now. Janessa and I are having our first planning call this coming Wednesday. When I first got started planning, I emailed her a lot...but then just realized they have to go at their own pace. So I relied on info on this site and said I'm not going to worry about it until it's time to plan with the resort. I think you just have to embrace the "it will happen when it happens" mentality of the Palace Resorts. Everyone I see on here who's had their weddings already said it all works out. So I just believed them and enjoyed being engaged.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
