@@stephygirl thank you so much for the info! Please update us when you get back. I would love to hear how the terraces are/what I need concerning lighting. The glow sticks are a great idea. I'm going to do that too I think!

This is a question for past brides - how was your welcome reception/ dinner? How does the evening flow? I want one but I don't know what I want it to look like if that makes sense. Should it be a sit down dinner or just drinks and appetizers with minimum seating so that people will mingle? I'm thinking to make it a white party as I've seen other brides do at Palace.

Thanks!

For those of you using Zuniga, do they charge a transportation/set up fee AND an event decor planning fee?

@@MissAmber26 I was wondering the same thing about the Welcome Reception/Dinner. I think I would rather people mingle rather than sit down to eat, but I still wanted to serve dinner (using my unlimited events), so I'm not sure exactly how to make that happen.

hey girls!

I was wondering about a welcome dinner too. I asked my WC how much it would cost if I had a dinner on the beach for everyone. She said the cost is $63/pp!! As much as I want to do this for my guest. There is no way I can afford an additional dinner. She also told me that the restaurant does not take reservations, so if I want a welcome dinner we just have to show up and wait!  I was so annoyed. what are you all doing??

@@jj575757 it is really expensive if you don't reach enough room nights for the free private events! I do know there is an extra charge for the beach (like $7 per person extra maybe). If you want to have a welcome party but not spend the money on dinner, you could do a welcome cocktail hour. We qualified for free events, so I don't remember the exact cost of the cocktail hour but I know if was a lot cheaper than dinner!

@@Danielle1 thanks so much for the advice. I do not qualify for the 75 room nights! However, I think doing the cocktail hour will be a lot cheaper! Also I wanted you guys to see what I am doing for my wedding invites. I have contacted the owner and she responded very quickly. I think they are so cute for a destination wedding!

Hi everyone!

My name is Jamella and my fiancé and I will be getting married on December 12th,2016 at Beach Palace. I am currently deciding on decor and I was told I would not be able to have tall centerpieces at my reception because of the wind. Does anyone know which terrace has the least amount of wind? I really do not want to have to spend the additional money for a ballroom location to avoid the wind. Someone please help!! Thanks!

@@jj575757 - my quotes for a cocktail hour (for the wedding) were as follows:

From 10 to 20 guests - $400 USD
From 21 to 30 guests - $600 USD
From 31 to 40 guests - $800 USD
From 41 to 50 guests - $1,000 USD

I assume it would be the same for a cocktail hour "welcome" event.

My fiance and I are doing a rehearsal dinner at 6pm on the Infinity Terrace the night before the wedding.  We were quoted $55/person since we didn't meet the 75 room nights private event requirement (we only have 62 room nights).  As Danielle mentioned, they charge more for service to place such as the beach where they have to haul the food.

Has anyone used the free airport transfer with Trafic Tours as part of your Beach Palace Package?  This company is AWFUL.

They're so unresponsive.  I originally booked my transfer with them in February with no issues.  Then, my family ended up changing our flights (because American changed its flight times).  I emailed Trafic Tours to tell them our updated flight information, and didn't hear back for a week.  I followed up again via email, and still didn't hear back for another few weeks. Then, once I finallllllllllyyyyy heard back, they told me they'd send me a confirmation within 72 hours.  It's been a week and still nothing.  I just emailed the company again today - but am getting super frustrated.

I also emailed my WC multiple times talking about how unresponsive Trafic Tours is.  I don't want my guests to have to hound this company in order to get their "free" transfers.  I no longer consider it free if you have to spend a ton of your time trying to book transport.

*RANT OVER*  :)

Hi all! So I've been MIA but my wedding was may 1 @ BP and it was PERFECT! We did have various things go wrong but nothing mattered because the important things were spot on. Here's a short video one of our friends captured for us...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
