Beach Palace Cancun Brides

Recommended Posts

I started out with Abril as my planner but have been communicating with Zaray about my site inspection. I'm pretty sure Zaray is my WC. She's been very responsive and great to work with so far. There's only been a couple of times when she didn't fully answer my questions.

Sorry you ladies are having troubles. Maybe they have a lot of Brides assigned to them.

@ yeah it seems like most aren't. I had Elizabeth before Yanet and she was actually very responsive (would email back the same day or the next). She also seemed very thorough. Oh well... I'm hoping that everything just eventually comes together.

@@Danielle1 I'm in the same boat as you. I'm a Moon Palace bride and had Elizabeth as my coordinator but has not been reassigned to Yanet. I miss Elizabeth, she was so responsive and on top of things. I've found Yanet to be slower at responding but it would be hard to follow Elizabeth. Apparently Yanet is new to the wedding department. I'm supposed to have a telephone call with Yanet this Saturday to go over my file. Have you had a call with her yet?

@@Wafflesmom No we haven't had a call!  She told me that she wanted to set up a call and I gave her my phone number and asked what her availability was. She never responded.  I wrote and asked her a question about a week later and she never responded to that. She did email me a few days ago to ask if Elizabeth had sent me vendor info. Please let me know how your call goes!  I would like to talk to her!

@@Danielle1 the same thing happened to me! She sent me an email mid April saying she wanted to set up a call. I replied the same day then never heard anything. I sent a follow up email last week and she replied right away. So we set up a time for this Saturday. I will certainly keep you posted.

How far along are you with your wedding planning? Luckily I was able to do a lot of it with Elizabeth. I've made sure I saved all my messages just in case.

@@Wafflesmom I haven't really done anything other than reserve rooms and then reserved times and locations for the wedding and reception.  What should I have done by now?  Should I be reserving a DJ, decorations, etc already? I asked her that but she has never responded. When you reserve the DJ, decor, etc, do you put down deposits directly through them or how does it work? (These were my questions that she has never answered).  My wedding is February 20, 2016, so just one month after yours!

@@Danielle1 I can't really say exactly how much of the planning should be done already. We were engaged June 2014 and boomed with Palace October 2014. All this time has basically had me plan quite a bit. My family makes fun of me because they know I'm a huge planner, they even bought me an iPad to use just for wedding planning! Lol

I've already booked a photographer (Samuel Luna), DJ (PSAV), decor and flowers (LatinAsia) and hair/makeup stylists (Styling Trio). If there's a vendor you really like, I say book them asap so you secure your date with them. I really love our photographer's style so I booked him last year! This also saved us a bit since we were able to secure 2014 pricing. As for deposits, if they are palace approved and require deposits, you would place them directly through Palace. Styling trio and PSAV didn't need deposits. Only LatinAsia required a 50% deposit to secure their services. I placed the deposit with Elizabeth. For those who aren't approved, you pay the deposit directly with the vendor. I used PayPal with Samuel Luna.

I basically had Elizabeth give me a list of all approved vendors and I contacted them directly. Once I wanted to sign with the vendor, I then made sure to cc my wedding coordinator (Elizabeth then) so she was aware. Elizabeth would then place all my contracts in my file. I think at the very least, you should have Yanet send you all the brochures/price lists for the vendors. I can also send them to you if you like. Just make sure to double check with Yanet that the vendor is still palace approved so you don't get charged vendor fees.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
