@ Thanks for letting me know :) We are planning for May 2016. We are hoping that by the wedding being in May and so far from now, our TA will be able to secure a good deal under $1500. Did you go with a TA yourself?

Margarita was terrible for me also. I'm currently working with Daniela Ocampo and although we have a very strong language barrier, she is fairly responsive (2-3 days). I haven't heard anything about Nayeli.

hi @@MissAmber26!

I don't have a picture but my WC told me it is small high top tables with white linen ( i have 25 guests and they're providing 4 tables) and scattered white folding chairs. We're ordering pink bows to go around the tables to add some color

Thanks @@LauraM

Thats a good idea to bring bows for the chairs. I think I may do that as well.

Looks like your big day will be here soon. I bet you're super excited! I'll be there the following week for my site visit (5/9-5/12).

I'm getting them through the decor company (gama) for like $5 each.

and YES! it is SOOOOO soon! ahhh! I bet you're also getting excited for your site visit! Make sure you schedule a cake tasting! That's the one thing we wish we had done that we missed out on and are now taking a shot in the dark at cake flavors.

Did everyone use Gama for decor?  Do I contact them myself, or does the wedding planner do that? My wedding planner sent me a brochure, but it doesn't have prices or anything - just some examples.  My wedding isn't until February 2016, so I have some time, but I'm not sure when I am supposed to be reserving things!

Yes I'm very excited! I just scheduled a zip line/atv excursion so I'm excited about that too!

I do have a cake tasting scheduled. I'm doing vanilla, strawberry and red velvet. I asked for a food testing too but she said I can only do that if I do a plated dinner... And that plated dinner is only available inside the ballroom. Anyone else told this? I want my reception out on the terrace so I guess no plated dinner for me.

Did anyone meet with Gama and Zuniga during their site visit? Can you tell me how that went and how I should prepare for that? Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
