Beach Palace Cancun Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi all - Thank you for all the information. I am getting married at BP in November 2014 - umm, any day now! We have to finalize our buffet/cocktail app choices ASAP. There was a little confusion in the timing of this between the offsite and onsite coordinators. What appetizer/buffets has anyone chosen? What did you love/hate? I would LOVE LOVE some input!

Thanks!

OH - and did anyone do a farewell brunch? We are planning to, but they told us that the sky terrace and palenque terrace are super sunny in the morning and we would need to rent umbrellas from outside vendors. It is quite a lot of money for an event that I think people will trickle in and out of. Can anyone comment on whether these locations would be good for a brunch? Thanks!!!

@@rrstripes - We were told the same for the terraces, so we nixed our welcome brunch idea and decided to go w/ a dinner instead.  Of course, this means we need to rent lighting instead of umbrellas, but we figured it'd still be more comfortable

And ditto on hearing the buffet choices others have made!

@@tygrrlily - We sent across our food options and asked for our WC's opinion. We went with the Mexican Apps and Mexican Buffet for a welcome dinner on the beach. We went with International Apps and Cajun Buffet for our wedding. Cajun was my finance's choice!  We are still trying to figure out our rehearsal dinner - as we do not want to have it on the Infinity Terrace, but we are trying to confirm other locations or restaurants. Currently we picked Worldwide Apps and BBQ dinner for rehearsal if we get it planned. I wanted Italian and the wedding planner said that the Italian was popular, but my finance really doesn't like italian. We are doing the Mexican breakfast buffet for lunch and asked to have salsa, guac and tortillas included, if not already.

Just some ideas:)

@@rrstripes - we've sent in ours too but haven't heard back yet. We made a few substitutes - you're allowed to as long as it's like for like.

We're having 3 events:

Welcome dinner on palenque terrace. We chose Mexican apps and Caribbean buffet w a couple substations from the Mexican buffet

Rehearsal dinner/white party on infinity terrace. Don't love the infinity terrace but didn't want to pay the set up fee for the beach and wanted to have it at a different location. We chose BBQ buffet

Wedding at sky terrace. We chose cold hors d'oeuvres w some subs and Italian buffet but subbed the lasagna for the steak from the French.

Who are you going w for your decor? I've gotten quotes from Latin Asia and Zuniga

@@tygrrlily - thanks! I just made a few subs to the menu. I used Zuniga for some stuff, but also got centerpieces from another company (can't quite remember the name - will look for it). They created centerpieces are supposed to be just like some pictures I found on Pinterest (for around $40 - so not cheap at all, but cheaper than trying to carry/ship everything!).

@@TheBHolders - no there are a couple others. Ask your WC but I know for right now at least grupo gama and Latin Asia. Not sure for 2015 or 2016

@@rrstripes - we were going with Zuniga but I'm pricing out Latin Asia and well probably just go for whoever is cheaper

Hi Ladies,

Can anyone tell me about how much your wedding guests are having to pay for their rooms per night? I have a travel agent and it really seems to me that she may not be providing us with good pricing. I would think there would be at least a slight discount considering the number of rooms we are booking. Thanks for your help!

Can anyone send me a Zuniga wedding catalog please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have emailed them several times and have not heard back from them yet...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
