Bar crawl for bachelorette parties in Cancun! :) They provide you transportation to the bars from your hotel and have a "guide" with you to make sure you are safe and take you to 3 different bars/clubs.  Such a good time! :)

Ok girls. This old lady has a question... lol What the heck is a Cuncrawl? or maybe I don't want to know?? lol or maybe I shouldn't know??? lol

Is anyone else doing non-floral centerpieces?  This is what I have come up with to put in the center of the reception tables on white linens.  The center pail will be filled with sand

The starfish accents fiiiinally arrived this week....I was getting stressed!  Living in Canada makes things very difficult to order because shipping times vary so much if stuff gets stuck in customs!

I'd love to do this but I'd need to convince my bridesmaids that it's safe...

I had some friends that were worried too, but honestly it was very safe. You travel as a group and they make sure that you are well taken care of. Maybe you can show them all of the good reviews? Most of the fears any friends had about Mexico dispelled when we got to Cancun. They saw how safe and clean everything was in the hotel zone, and felt better about it!

Thanks for the pic.  The candle tree idea is really cool!  My wedding style is definitely a bit more simple than that but it is a great idea for a flowerless centerpice :)

@ Agreed, it was very safe- I felt safer than any bachelorette party I've gone to in downtown St Louis (where I am from).  You don't have a "guide" following you around watching you all night in the states!

Hi everyone, I am getting married at Beach Palace on 6/20/14. Just under two months, We are having a pretty small group and have a super small budget. We have two 10 year old girls and our other daughter will be about 4 months. There are 18 adults and 4 kids total. Daniela is our WC, has anyone had her? SHe has been pretty responsive so far but sometimes doesn't answer my questions. Has anyone not had a private reception? Has anyone used the new airbrush makeup tech they have as a preferred vendor/? Any menu recommendations? Any experience with Cecilia Dumas photography? Also, we have over 30 room nights booked and that should qualify us for a cocktail hour and 2 free room nights, I have heard that they are not honoring a credit to the credit card but that can only be used on future stay, has anyone had to deal with this? Sorry for all the questions, any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Congrats Jlo!

I'm getting married at BP on June 13th and I'm also using Cecilia Dumas photography. We're using one of her Associated Photographers (Freddy Wu). When we went down there for the site visit we met with her and she showed us different pics. Both my fiance and I really gravitated towards the ones that Freddy took although hers were beautiful too. Hers were a little more on the softer, romantic side whereas his were a little more dramatic. She's very personable and bubbly and I'm sure your pics will turn out great!

We have also qualified for the 2 free room nights however from the beginning we were told that they go for a future stay. we vacation a lot so that's no big deal. We were also thinking of staying two extra nights at Le Blanc on Isa Mujeres. We finally realized that we will have absolutely no 'alone' time the whole week we are down there so might just extend our stay.

I haven't heard anything about the other makeup/hair people that BP offers until just recently on here. Until I heard about them I was just planning to have it done at the spa, but now I'll check out my options.

When are you arriving down there? We're leaving on Monday the 16th.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
