Is anyone a Palace premier member?  I have a couple questions in regards to booking weeks?  My in-laws are members but have never used their membership.  Thanks!

Ok so JSAV just gave me a quote for 2 speakers and a subwoofer for 5hrs...$1350.. That is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard and I don't remember other brides paying that much to rent speakers.... Can anyone tell me how much they are paying?

The quote for 5 hours with a DJ was $2150...These people are DREAMING.

Yeah that sounds very pricey.  I know that Palace Resorts also works with PSAV and their prices are a little cheaper I just got quoted $1,525.40 for 4 hours for a DJ and this is also including music for our cocktail hour. See if you can use PSAV.

@@Mrsoats The same thing happened to my with JSAV- they totally try to rip you off! It says on the Palace Pricing info that tax & delivery/setup are included in the pricing of $1,750 for a 4 hour DJ- then they quoted me $2,300 with tax & delivery/setup.

I didn't even go back to JSAV and call them out- I told my wedding coordinator that I wanted a quote from PSAV- same service, 4 hour DJ- $1,350 including tax & delivery/setup. So I hired PSAV

I recommend that you do the same. Seems like the wedding coordinators may get some sort of commission based on the services that you book, which is why they don't even send the PSAV quote.  I don't know that for sure, just thought it was interesting that they never sent me anything for PSAV and they are $1,000 cheaper for the same service...

They never sent me the information for PSAV I didn't even know it was an option as they only gave me a catalogue for JSAV.  I had to ask for it and I only knew they were an option from reading it the forums same thing with the decor I didn't know that Zuniga was an option I only had info on Gama but I requested the Zuniga info and it was also cheaper.  Definitely get your wedding planner to get you a quote from them instead.

With the complimentary package, does anyone know if that crystal chandelier and strings of crystals come with the package or is there an extra fee for those? If so how much?

Does anyone know how much those fireworks are at the ceremony if you get the complimentary package?

If you hit 75 room nights and get the free private function does that eliminate the $50 per person dinner fee?

Thanks!!

I was quoted $525 for the fireworks..seems a bit much to me since it's only 30-45 seconds!

Hi Everyone! I am new to this forum, and I just started to plan for my wedding in August 2014 at BP. I was so happy to find this topic. I have read a lot of the replies. However, I haven't got an idea of how everyone handled transportation from and to the airport. Do you take bus, taxi, hire a van for your guests, or BP provided a shuttle for you?

Hi,

I had the same concern. My travel agent is going to handle transportation to/from airport. These are the rates I received:

Prices are quoted "per vehicle" depending on number of guests as follows:

From 1 to 3 passengers:  $55.00 roundtrip

From 4 to 7 passengers:  $65.00 roundtrip

From 8 to 10 passengers:  $75.00 roundtrip

I got exactly the same quote. Are you working with Teresa?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
