Beach Palace Cancun Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi All. I am trying to decide between Beach Palace and a few other resorts in cancun. My main concern in the price of the reception. (We plan on having 20-30 guests. We want an outdoor ceremony, possibly a cocktail hour, and dinner reception.)

All of BP wedding packages state "one dinner reservation (with standard restaurant decor)". It also reads $300 per reception table..??

Brides that have already gotten married, how much did you pay for your reception?? Are food/drinks included or at an extra cost?

Hi. My wedding is next month and we have 25 guests. We're having a welcome dinner on Friday night at the Italian restaurant (free) and for our cocktail hour, reception day of wedding we're doing and paid for the following: Ceremony - Pearl Shimmer (less $1500 because we used resort credits on this) Cocktail Hour - Guests are just going to sports bar while we take pics for hour or staying on beach to watch us take pics (we only reached 30 room nights) *make 75 room nights your goal! Reception - 7:30-10:30 paid $50/person, $25/person for kids +$900 for 3 themed tables Lighting - Zuniga $400 Music - JSAV $1500 for 3 hours DJ + MC Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Chacie B! Your reply definitely answered my questions about the reception!!

Also, what is the significance of the 75 room night goal?

Did the cost of the reception ($50/person, + tables, etc...) include food AND bar/drinks?

With 75 room nights you get unlimited private functions :). I was banking on 75 room nights and had paid for the Pure collection (most expensive, but comes with 3 free themed tables) thinking I would get the room nights and unlimited private functions. So when we didn't reach that, I 'downgraded' to the Pearl Shimmer and used the difference in money between the two collections to offset reception cost. I ended up having to pay only $25 more. Yes, cost for reception comes with food/drinks. You can easily do a private reception on a budget if you don't reach 75 nights. Mine is a little more pricey because I wanted reception decor to match exactly like ceremony so I just said the heck with it and decided to have BP do it vs. Zuniga which most women book through for reception decor. Only thing I rented from them is these Lycra column lights I'm obsessed with. Palace Resorts Weddings just pinned tons of ceremony and reception decor photos on Pinterest and I was hooked. What Zuniga (Lily) was proposing I just wasn't in love with. Also, I wanted someone to MC and Dj and not just the iPod thing which is a lot cheaper. One thing that has really helped me is setting a budget and paying for everything as soon as possible. I realize this may not be possible for everyone, but I didn't want to worry about money while we're there and paid for everything soon as I could.

Hi ladies! My fiancé and I (and my parents) are going to "preview paradise" in a couple weeks. My parents are VIP members at palace so we are hoping to get some questions answered and not get the run around (although I am sure I am in for a few headaches along the way!). There seems to be a lot of outside vendors that people are using. Can anyone provide insight on their experience with their photographers, flowers and djs? I am trying to meet with outside vendors while I am there so I can establish a relationship with these people! Any recommendations for photography, flowers and dj would be amazing!

Hey Bella,

You do not have to pay $50 per person if you are not interested in a private function.

The complimentary package comes with a reservation at one of the restaurant covering 30 people (standard  hotel decor etc).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
