I am having my ceremony on the sky terrace! There's no official gazebo up there, I don't think. They just create that cover above you with the diamonds hanging down. It will be beautiful! I leave for Cancun in 11 days. I'll be sure to post pictures when I return :-)

Hi Nicole!!!

I purchased the Pearl Shimmer as well, I fell in love with it and did not want to bother with bringing my own decor.

I even attempted to go through Zungia for decor. For what I wanted she was trying to charge me more than what the Pearl Shimmer Cost!! In addition what she sent pics of what she can create and it was totally different than the pics i sent her.

When you come back from your wedding please post pictures and give a detailed review!! I am looking forward to reading all about it!!!

I hope you have a wonderful wedding!!! :)

Thanks!

-Kat

I will def post pictures!!! Thank you :-)

You should check your contract...They offered my guests free transporation services to and from the airport and hotel....Also, I believe the Resort Credits can be used towards the Limo Services!  Might want to look into that!

It was $193.00 total for the limo. But they have other options that are less.

Or, should we just take a cab and save our money? Are the cabs safe? lol

If you go through with group bookings, the moon palace has free shuttle transportation from the airport to resort I believe!

Were you at Beach Palace? That would be awesome if that's the case! It's only a 20 minute ride, but it would be nice not having to worry about booking shuttle service to hotel. I emailed my planner to see if that's possible for us! Thanks for your input!!

I have some guests who are trying to keep their costs down by staying off site...I have advised of the 80/20 rule so they are waiting to see how many guests we get booking before they commit. My question for you guys is this: Did any past/are any future brides have off site guests and if so, how much does it cost to have them at the wedding. Obviously there is the guest past fee (I believe that currently stands at around $98), is there a further fee for them to eat at the private reception etc. Am I overlooking anything that some past brides can advise on?

Thanks again x

Hey YossiMeyer!

I was actually speaking to Rocio from Beach Palace about a similar concern my guests have. She advised me they can stay 2 nights in the hotel and then just transfer to another resort  that is less expensive if they would like. This will save cost for them.

Especially if they book while palace resorts is having a 40% discount on rooms, of course if they go this route then you will not qualify for the group benefits.

Oh, I thought all the Palace Resorts had gazebos. Either way, your wedding is going to be beautiful w/ that set-up!!

I leave for Cancun in 8 days. I'm starting to check weather. Thunderstorms and rain this week...and then some forecasts show rain for my wedding day, while others show cloudy with light rain, and another one shows mostly sunny with some light rain. Oh my God...I'm praying for a sunny day on my wedding day! It will absolutely ruin my day if it's raining! Please pray for me guys!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
