HI Kristi,

You are sooo close!  I am planning a wedding for next April, but I am going down for a site visit in June.  I have no idea what to expect during the site visit, did you go down and visit before hand?  I already of my wedding date confirmed, but I just wanted to get a chance to meet everyone face to face at least once. lol

Thanks!

Nikia

Hi Nikia,

I was in Playa del Carmen in January for a friends wedding so we did go see Beach Palace while we were so close! It was perfect! We really liked the resort because of the amaizng 360 degree view from the sky terrace and the modern feel of the resort. Its not a huge resort but has everything you need. All the rooms were great! Let me know if you have any specific questions let me know!

Hi, my fiance and I are planning a site visit to a couple of hotels in April. Did you tell them you were coming or how did you set them up?

Thanks for the help!

For Beach Palace, you have to schedule it in advance.  My travel agent has set up the arrangements for me, but they have a questionarre form for you to fill out so that they can prepare.  Shoot an email to Kalena barroniz@palaceresorts.com, she was the one that confirmed my wedding date/time and gave me initital information on schedule a site visit.  Good Luck! --Nikia

Did they allow you to have manu/cake tasting?  Also, did you get to take a look at the decoration in person?  Just want to know how much detail they go into during the visit, as I was hoping to dive into more details then just viewing the property.

Itâ€s all starting to come together, ahh!!! Iâ€m only 5 months out. We selected the BBQ buffet and asked to add a few items from other menuâ€s, hopefully theyâ€ll agree to that. Any previous brides also use the BBQ buffet?

Iâ€m going with the Pure Collection so we get the 3 decorated tables, I know itâ€s very $$$, but it also saves me time. Collection also comes with the fireworks, musician for ceremony; stuff I would have wanted to add on anyways. Weâ€re going to upgrade our photo package so I can get before/after pics. Iâ€m booking Zuniga for lighting and JSAV for the iPod hookup.

Wedding will cost us, but we will definitely save $$$ versus getting married locally.

How are things progressing for everyone else?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
