JSAV is there preferred vendor. They are not working with PSAV anymore. My coordinator told me it would cost a $500.00 outside vendor fee to bring PSAV in

I'm a new beach palace bride. Getting married November 2013. I signed my contract for the complimentary wedding but I was wondering if any of you know if I need to pay a deposit? I have tried emailing rocio but I haven't gotten a response. I just don't want to lose my date over something like that

Hi!

I booked the complimentary as well...the only thing they needed to solidify the date was my reservation number.

Hi Guys! I haven't been on here in a LOOONNNNNGGGG time. So just to re-introduce myself, Im getting married (symbolic) on June 22nd at 6pm. Hopefully on the sky terrace. I like many of you am really frustrated that it is so hard to get in contact with anyone and have been through 2 or 3 people already. Reading the posts i learned that Clarissa is gone...so i hope everything is okay with my plans. Apparently i wont hear anything until March. I have YET to buy a wedding dress lol. I booked the complimentary package and will be having a cocktail hour, and just dinner after. I'm trying to decide if we should use the cocktail hour as a welcome party or just keep it as is and use it as a reception. any pointers? plane.gif

Do both! How many people do you have coming?! Maybe you have enough rooms for unlimted private functions!

For any past Beach Palace brides- just curious, how close to your wedding date did most of your guests book their trips? I am about 5 months away and we're only at 33 room nights, around 10 people :( I know there are a few more guaranteed booking, but I'm just nervous. I invited 70 people, and only a couple have sent back the RSVP cards saying they can't go. So there are still so many up in the air. I hope people make it!

Also, I was wondering for any past beach palace brides that didn't have a huge wedding party- how was the private dinner reservation after the ceremony? If we don't have at least 30 people, we aren't going to have a big reception. Instead, we're going to utilize the dinner reservation for 30 people that the wedding package comes with. But I still want to have first dance, cake cutting, etc...I wonder how "private" the dinner reservation really is? Like is it private enough to have a ipod dock setup for background music? Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Nicole

Hi girls! I think I just got to 75 room nights. It was a rough go but at 3 months out everyone decided to get it together and finally book. So does anyone know what unlimited private events means? Can I have a welcome cocktail hour and a cocktail hour after ceremony? Or is it just one cocktail hour and reception? I ask my wedding planner questions and I feel like I do not get my questions adequately answered. I have asked the same question 3 times now and each response addresses something completely different! LOL

I am 3 months out as of last week and we had stragglers finally book, it was very stressful not knowing what was going to happen or who was coming. It has held me up from starting OOT bags also. So just hang tight!

As far as the private dinner I wanted to do that also if we did not have a big turnout but they said no music and no first dance. I would ask again just being that everyone seems to get different answers. Good luck!

Congratulations!! I hope my guests book last minute too, although it will probably be more expensive for them if they do that. I'm thinking a lot of people will book toward the end of February and throughout March. I'm trying to stay positive!

As far as the unlimited private functions...you can have max of 3 hours per day, every day you're there. So you could have a rehersal dinner the night before. Then a one hour cocktail hour and a 2 hour reception the day of your wedding. Or if you prefer, you could do a 3 hour reception the day of, and do your cocktail hour another day. I've had the same problem with my coordinator. They beat around the bush, and don't answer my questions directly. I'm thinking it's a language barrier, and I'm sure everything will be resolved when you meet with someone in person upon your arrival.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
