The steak restaurant. And I think for our welcome dinner we're going to do the Italian place.

Did anyone venture over to Moon palace to the Brazillian steakhouse there? We wanted to go on our first night w/just our immediate family (5 of us). I read on Trip Advisor it wasn't great for large groups.

Things just keep adding up!!!

They didn't say anything to me about a two night stay. They just had to be a guest of the hotel. So I split the one night stay w/my photog and didn't have to pay the fee.

Hi Ladies,

So i understand the Miami office is no longer handling the wedding planning. I used to have Janessa as my contact but now her email no longer exists. They say that someone should be in touch with us soon but I have heard anything. Just wondering if anyone has been contacted by the resort itself yet?

I just found out about this also, as my email bounced back to me.  I am not sure what it is going on, I will post if I hear anything...Would you all do the same?  Has anyone tried calling the old number to see if it still works or to get further information about who to contact?

Same thing here. I asked my TA to look into it. I guess while I'm here I'll ask the question I had. If you are doing a symbolic ceremony, what do you need to bring to the resort...just the signed license by your officiant...or the actual marriage certificate from the state/county records office?

What?! Janessa's gone?!  I haven't emailed her in probably a month, but we better hear from someone soon, or I'm going to complain!!! (I'm a Sun Palace bride- but I had Janessa as well).

Neither. We had a symbolic ceremony and were legally married after the fact, so we didn't show a license, IDs, or anything the website says you must have at your planning meeting. I would double-check with your onsite coordinator, however, to make sure the policy hasn't changed.

I thought I read on another board that a planning office is being opened in Mexico. Of course, I can't find the particular post now, but this may be the reason.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
