Bahama Beach Club - Treasure Cay

I love Treasure cay- I'm getting married there- on a private beach, and them reception at TC Resort- not Bahama Beach Club. If you go anywhere in the tropics you will need to change planes from Mass anyhow. You can get direct flights from Florida to Treasure Cay, sometimes they stop in Marsh harbour, but there isn't really any chance for your luggage to be lost from that stop since its such a small plane. It's not like here in the US when your bags could be traveling on another plane. Bahamas Air is the best comercial plance or try Charakee Air- a bit more expeinsive but I can bring my dogs on without a cage. If that is all your worried about- I say GO FOR IT! It's a real short flight from FL to TC.

Kalik,

It's nice to hear of another bride getting married there. Everything looks so nice at Treasure Cay and Bahama beach club. Are you and your guests staying there as well? We are planning on staying there for a week and get married on the beach there and a small beach reception (we will only have 18 people max). What made you decide to do a reception at TC resort instead? I am in the process of talking with Jerry about everything. So far so good, he seems very attentive and responds within a good time manner.

Hey Nancy,

My fioncee's family is from there, and long story short... thats where we fell in love. - I blame it on it pina coladas at the Cocoa Bar. :D

Have you been to TC before? I feel like some of the pics on websites make it look more luxurious than it really feels, its more of a rustic hideway for the wealthy- still very nice tho. It's secluded and very pretty. Our plans are not set in stone, but we are planning on having our guests stay at the resort and rent cottages at the villas. We are expecing about 20-30 guests coming from the US and another 20 from Abaco. We are creating an 1 week itenerary for our guests, its a great way to spend a vacation together. What month are you looking at?

We are aiming at May 23, 2013. I've never been there but all I am really expecting is a relaxing week with clear water, nice sandy beaches and some yummy island food. Thanks for the info, I think that most resorts make places look better than they are in pictures. I've been reading reviews and there is only one bad one about the restaurants around there but I am not sure when it was written. Do you know anything about the food there? We have a kitchen so we aren't worried but a few meals out would be nice. I was told that it is easy to get around with a golf cart, is everything really that close to the beach club? Wow you have a big group! That should be a lot of fun :)

It's pretty easy to get around in a Golf Cart. I have read some bad reviews about restaurants there and were shocked, I didnt have the same experiences. The review I read almost sounded like they were expecting high class luxury - TC is luxurious in surroudings for sure.  I love Touch of Class, they serve some unique Bahamian food that you cant find other places. It takes a while to get your food at times, but they always seat you and them bring out bread. I'm pretty sure its because they make it to order. I LOVE Cocoa Bar's lunch, they have very good conch fritters!! Bahamian food is very good pretty much everywhere you go on all the out islands. Make sure you go to Nippers while your there too and if you see conch in the bag on the menu- get it your in for a real treat. It's the number 1 thing I miss from there. If your craving American food- cook it at your cottage. Talking about all this food is making me hungry :) I hope you get to visit before your wedding day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
